Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Nothing Unusual

Inside the pediatric examination room, a child specialist carefully checked the newborn.

She gently examined the baby's heartbeat, breathing, and reflexes.

After a few moments, she looked at the other doctors in the room.

"Physically, the baby seems completely normal."

One of the doctors folded his arms.

"But what about the eye color and the white hair?"

The specialist thought for a moment.

"It could be related to genetics."

Another doctor shook his head.

"We already checked the parents' medical records."

"Both the mother and father have completely normal genetic markers."

"So the child should not have these traits."

The room fell silent for a moment.

Finally, the senior doctor sighed slightly.

"Well… we are living in 2050 now."

He leaned back in his chair.

"In this era, science has discovered many things that once sounded like myths."

The other doctors looked at him curiously.

He continued calmly,

"Sometimes, nature still surprises us."

He glanced at the newborn lying quietly on the examination bed.

"…Maybe this child is simply one of those rare miracles."

The baby blinked slowly.

Those golden eyes reflected the bright lights of the room.

And for a moment…

they seemed far too aware for a newborn.

The baby lay quietly on the small examination bed.

For a moment, everything seemed calm.

Then suddenly—

"Waaah…!"

The baby began to cry loudly.

The doctors paused and looked at him.

The child specialist quickly stepped closer and checked him.

A small smile appeared on her face.

"Well… this is actually a good sign."

One of the doctors looked surprised.

"What do you mean?"

She gently lifted the baby in her arms.

"From what we heard, the baby hasn't cried since birth."

The other doctor nodded.

"Yes, that's true."

She continued calmly,

"Newborns crying is completely normal. It helps their lungs adjust and function properly."

"So this is actually healthy."

Another doctor glanced at the medical report.

"His genetic results are also normal."

"The child's genes match both parents perfectly."

The senior doctor folded his arms and nodded.

"Then there's nothing to worry about."

"Physically and internally, the baby appears completely healthy."

The baby slowly stopped crying.

Those golden eyes blinked quietly as he looked around the room.

Completely unaware that everyone was talking about him.

Or at least…

that's what it seemed like.
