The mansion slowly returned to silence.
Broken glass covered the floor.
The bodies of the assassins had already been taken away by the guards.
But the night had changed something between Aryan Malhotra and Anaya Sen.
Inside the medical room…
Anaya carefully cleaned the small wound on Aryan's arm.
"You should be more careful," she said quietly.
Aryan looked at her with amusement.
"You're worried."
"I'm not," she replied quickly.
Aryan smirked slightly.
"Liar."
Anaya rolled her eyes but continued bandaging his arm.
"You fought twenty people like it was nothing," she said.
Aryan leaned back in the chair.
"For me… it wasn't."
Anaya looked at him, surprised.
"What do you mean?"
Aryan's expression became serious.
"I've fought many enemies in my life."
"But tonight…"
He paused.
"They were coming for you."
Anaya suddenly felt something strange in her chest.
"Why do you care so much?" she asked softly.
Aryan looked straight into her eyes.
"Because you're my responsibility now."
"That's not the same as caring," she replied.
Aryan didn't answer immediately.
Instead, he slowly stood up and stepped closer to her.
"So what do you think it is?" he asked quietly.
Anaya's heart started beating faster.
"I… I don't know."
For a moment the room was completely silent.
Then Aryan said something unexpected.
"I made you a promise."
Anaya looked confused.
"What promise?"
"That I would protect you."
His voice became low and serious.
"And I always keep my promises."
Before she could say anything—
Aryan's phone suddenly rang.
His expression changed the moment he saw the screen.
"What happened?" Anaya asked.
Aryan answered the call.
One of his men spoke urgently.
"Boss… we have bad news."
Aryan's voice became cold.
"Speak."
"Viktor Volkov has kidnapped someone."
Anaya felt a chill.
"Who?"
Aryan's jaw tightened.
"Your mother."
The room went silent.
Anaya's face turned pale.
"That's impossible… she was in Delhi!"
Aryan's eyes became dangerously dark.
"Not anymore."
He grabbed his jacket immediately.
"Where are you going?" Anaya asked.
Aryan's voice was filled with deadly calm.
"To bring her back."
"And if Viktor tries to stop me…"
His eyes turned cold like ice.
"He will learn why the underworld fears King Cobra."
