The room remained completely silent.
Dante lowered the phone slowly.
Camille's heart tightened.
"What happened?"
Dante's expression remained unreadable.
Then he said quietly
"That was the man who executed my father's final instructions."
Nobody moved.
Nobody spoke.
Victor's voice exploded through the speaker.
"What does that even mean?"
For once, nobody told him to be quiet.
Because everyone wanted the same answer.
Dante stared at the dark screen of his phone for several seconds before finally placing it on the desk.
His movements were calm.
Too calm.
Camille recognized the warning signs immediately.
Something had shaken him.
Deeply.
"Dante."
His gaze lifted to hers.
"The caller's name is Marcus Voss."
The name meant nothing to Camille.
Nothing to Adrian either.
But Elena's expression changed instantly.
Victor noticed first.
"Oh no."
Adrian frowned.
"What?"
Elena crossed her arms.
"I've heard that name before."
The room immediately focused on her.
