The healer swallowed.
"The poison does not behave like a newly administered toxic. It has already spread... extensively," he said.
The healer glanced at the others who were just as pale then back to Lilith, who seemed to be in thought.
"Explain."
"The poison has already integrated with his blood and the reaction is still ongoing," he paused as he debated whether to continue," it is being triggered by something."
That caught her attention.
"By what?"
"Alcohol."
Lilith's eyes widened when the memory of him drinking her wine flooded in then what he said before he lost consciousness.
She could still smell the faint scent of wine on herself.
"Continue."
"The reaction even after drinking it is not immediate. The toxins appear dormant until activation. Once activated the affected will experience heat and exertion... alcohol consumption would accelerate the reaction significantly."
