Penny's POV
My attention was completely absorbed in analyzing quarterly sales figures when something lightweight dropped onto my head. I glanced up to discover Felicity standing beside my workstation, arms crossed and sporting the kind of self-satisfied smirk that meant she was plotting something.
"Felicity, what are you doing?" I began, my hand instinctively reaching up to touch the soft material now resting on my hair.
"Holiday hat," she declared with dramatic flourish, as if unveiling a priceless work of art. "You wear it beautifully."
Her obvious delight made me burst into laughter. I removed the hat and examined it closely.
It was one of those traditional red Santa hats with white trim and a fluffy white pompom, the kind you could find at any department store during the season.
"Don't you think we're jumping the gun a bit?" I asked, still chuckling. "The month isn't even over yet."
