Penny's POV
Saturday arrived like a much-needed breath of fresh air after the disaster at the party. My head still pounded from the remnants of last night's drinks, but I refused to let that ruin my final days with Maya and Sebastian before they returned to Aethelgard. The thought of them being an ocean away again made my chest tight. Soon it would be back to pixelated video calls and delayed text messages.
Silas appeared at my door around ten, balancing a tray of steaming coffee and buttery croissants from that little French bakery he'd discovered.
"Hayes family adventure day," he declared as I let him in. "Maya's orders. We're playing tourists in your own city."
We spent the entire day exploring London landmarks I'd somehow managed to avoid during all my time here. Regent's Park became our first stop, where Maya captured endless photos of Leo in his stroller, dissolving into laughter every time he pulled some new dramatic baby face.
