Chapter 114 - The Cursed Blade and the Rune Blade

Noelle nodded.

"Now her idiot brain is cursed too."

Anita looked around in panic.

"No way! What happens if I don't kill 100 demons with it?!"

Andras shrugged.

"I assume you'll turn into an undead knight yourself, and you'll keep hunting demons until you kill the hundredth one."

Anita screamed.

"Damn you, Miroslava, you tricked me!"

Andras shrugged again.

"Well, the war against the Demon Army is coming anyway.

You'll have plenty of opportunities to kill a hundred demons.

Ice element will be especially useful against Fire Demons.

Not necessarily a bad deal — but I certainly wouldn't have partnered with a cursed sword."

Andrea nodded.

"Me neither. Not worth it."

Anita sighed.

"Well, nothing to do now.

Besides, as long as I'm killing demons, there won't be any problem."

Noelle laughed.

"Sure. And what happens when you go a long time without meeting any demons?

The sword will force you to go hunt them, you idiot!"

Anita went pale again.

Ironclaw wagged her tail in smug satisfaction.

The Cursed Blade and the Rune Blade

Anita was still clutching her sword when she noticed the rune blade in Andras's hand.

"And what's that new sword you're holding?"

Andras lifted the blade, which pulsed with a bluish light.

"This? A Rune Blade.

It can use every magical element, so I can channel both my water and lightning elements through it."

Anita shouted in outrage.

"That's not fair! You got a much better sword!"

Andras shrugged.

"Actually, if we compare the quality of the two blades, your dark sword isn't worse at all."

Anita's eyes lit up.

"Want to trade?"

Andras laughed.

"Even if I wanted to, I couldn't.

Until you complete the sword's quest, you can't nullify the soul contract."

Andrea looked around the burial chamber.

"So… what should we do with this place? It would make a great underground hideout."

Andras nodded thoughtfully.

"I've decided to build a military base here instead of leaving the ruins as they are.

Better we use this place than the demons."

Andrea agreed.

"Now that the entrance is no longer hidden, we can't leave this area unguarded because of the goblins."

Andras looked at Ironclaw, who was in the middle of a huge yawn.

"Alright. Ironclaw, stop yawning!

Go fetch the demon's head — we'll hang it in the main square of Wolfwood City."

Ironclaw jumped up immediately.

"Got it, boss!"

But Andrea stopped her.

"Couldn't he get a proper burial instead?

He was a demon, yes, but I found him to be an honorable warrior."

Andras's expression grew serious.

"I understand what you mean.

But the demon's head in the main square will give the people hope and reassurance.

That's what they need right now — I hope you understand."

Andrea lowered her head.

"You're right. Because of the Demon King, even the people of Wolfwood are growing anxious.

I'm sorry, Za Balog.

Let your gaze be a beacon of hope for the people."

Anita looked around.

"What happened to the demon's weapon?"

Andrea shrugged.

"I cut it in half."

"Was it a demon sword?"

"No, a demon trident."

Anita waved dismissively.

"Then it's no loss."

Andras looked up at the wall of the burial chamber.

"Oh, right… there's a beautiful painting on the first level.

I'll send people to bring it to the castle."

The group slowly began walking out of the burial chamber.

The light‑orb flowers softly illuminated their path, as if bidding them farewell.

The Legacy of the Wolves

Thus ended the adventure at the ancient ruins in the Forest of Wolves, where the hidden underground tomb of the first Wolfwoods was discovered.

The team:

defeated their first demon foe,

freed the souls of Andrasa Wolfwood and Miroslava,

found the Rune Blade,

and established a new base on the site of the ruins.

Young Wolf and Anita each gained a new sword.

Fireburp gained confidence — the first spark of her dormant courage finally ignited.

The legacy of the House of Wolfwood lived on.

And the shadow of the Demon King crept ever closer.

The Chronicle of the Weaponsmith – What the Wolves Brought Back from Their First Demon Hunt

In the forge of Wolfwood Castle, the old master — whose beard was longer than most recruits' swords — slammed his hand on the workbench when he saw what the elite team had returned with.

The fire crackled, the bellows hissed, and the smith began his tale:

The Weapons of Andras Wolfwood

"Now, the young lord… he doesn't mess around.

In his hand is a Rune Blade forged by dwarf masters. Four runes on the blade, each awakening a different element.

Whoever wields such a sword doesn't just fight — he controls the battlefield.

Then there are his staves.

One is a water‑mage staff with a Giant Water Slime stone.

The other… now that is craftsmanship: carved from silver‑oak, with a Lightning Ogre stone.

The lightning crackles inside it like it's alive.

And of course he carries a golden dagger — a noble piece, sharper than the royal treasurer's tongue."

The Weapons of Noelle Wolffood

"The young lady… she wields the water element as if it flowed straight from her.

The Royal Water Mage's staff is a particularly fine piece: it holds a Water Naga stone — rarer than a sober goblin.

Her hunting dagger is well‑kept too — not for decoration, but for work."

The Weapons of Andrea Wolf

"The Wolf Fang…

Now that sword makes even fire go silent when its name is spoken.

A legendary weapon, a longblade — the kind of sword one sees only once in a lifetime, if lucky.

And in Andrea's hand… well, demons have no luck at all.

She has another sword too, a simple Wolf Knight longsword. A spare.

But next to the Wolf Fang, everything else is just a shadow."

The Weapons of Anita the Whirlwind

"And then there's Anita…

The girl who moves like a storm and talks like she's already drunk the storm as well.

In her hand, a Dark Blade — Miroslava's legacy.

A demon‑hunter weapon, a cursed piece — ice element is born from it whether she wants it or not.

Whoever accepts such a sword forms a pact with the blade.

It demands one hundred demons in return.

Not less.

And the girl just grins like she got a new pair of shoes.

She also carries a Wolf Knight short sword and a hunting dagger.

But the Dark Blade… that's her true partner from now on."

The Smith's Conclusion

"If you ask me, with weapons like these you're no longer just wolves —

you're storm, lightning, ice, and steel together.

The demons would be wise to tremble."
