Chapter 47 - Ch 47- New Cain

Leaving Kanao in the courtyard to get some fresh air, Kochō Kanae led Cain into the house.

As the master of the Butterfly Mansion, Kochō Kanae's residence was divided into two floors.

The first floor served as the office area. It was equipped with wards and a certain amount of rehabilitation equipment for members of the Demon Slayer Corps who came for treatment and recovery.

The second floor was the living area where Kochō Kanae carried out her daily life, with more than a dozen guest rooms distributed along the corridor.

"The room at the very end on the left is mine. The rooms next to it on both sides belong to Shinobu and Kanao respectively. The rooms further down the corridor are where the female staff of the Butterfly Mansion live."

After explaining the room arrangement, Kochō Kanae brought Cain to the opposite end of the corridor.

"To avoid any unnecessary awkward situations, you will stay over here."

She pushed open the door. What entered Cain's sight was a room whose overall style leaned toward white.

The room was divided into two sections, a resting area and a workspace. Perhaps because someone cleaned it regularly, the environment inside was very neat and orderly.

On the wooden desk used for work, there was also a bottle containing wisteria flowers, releasing a faint and refreshing fragrance.

"How is it? Is it acceptable?"

"Of course it's acceptable."

Cain replied honestly, "I haven't stayed in such a nice place in a long time."

"I'm glad you're satisfied."

Kochō Kanae felt relieved.

Since she had just finished a strategy meeting, Kochō Kanae still had many matters to deal with.

After briefly explaining the layout of the Butterfly Mansion and the daily meal times, Kochō Kanae said goodbye to Cain and hurried outside.

After seeing Kochō Kanae off, Cain was just about to go out and take a stroll around the Butterfly Mansion when he suddenly felt a call echo in his mind.

"Hm? Why so early this time?"

A trace of confusion appeared on Cain's face.

Because of the time difference between the Demon Slayer world and the other worlds, Demon Slayer Cain usually only received a summons once every three to seven days from his side.

The last meeting had been just yesterday. At that time he had just speed-run through Mount Natagumo and used the excuse of resting to quietly update his abilities with the others.

Only one day had passed, and he did not expect another summons to arrive so soon.

Thinking that one of the other Cains might have encountered an emergency, Demon Slayer Cain immediately lay down on the bed and allowed his consciousness to sink into the Mist Plaza.

"Eh? Is this my cheat?"

The moment he arrived at the Mist Plaza, Demon Slayer Cain heard a voice not far away.

He turned his head and saw a Cain dressed in modern casual clothes with a tennis racket bag slung over his back.

Apparently noticing Demon Slayer Cain turning to look at him, the new Cain, who had been muttering to himself, froze for a moment. A hesitant expression appeared on his face.

"You wouldn't happen to have self awareness, would you?"

"Otherwise?"

Demon Slayer Cain rolled his eyes.

Every version here was Cain. He could guess the other's thoughts even with his eyes closed.

This newly arrived Cain had clearly just treated him as some kind of puppet.

"You want a cheat, right? Come here, kowtow twice and call me 'Godfather', then I'll give it to you."

"Screw off! I'd rather not have it!"

"Jie jie jie! That's not up to you!"

Demon Slayer Cain's figure flickered and instantly appeared in front of Prince of Tennis Cain. He grabbed him and refined the connection in an instant.

In the next moment, a massive wave of memories surged into Demon Slayer Cain's mind like a tide.

Crossing over to a new world → Seeing a news report on TV about Nanjirou Echizen's death three years ago → Realizing which world he had entered → Beginning to learn tennis → Gradually developing... hm? during the training process.

"Wait, brother."

After digesting Prince of Tennis Cain's memories, Demon Slayer Cain, who had been laughing wickedly just moments ago, suddenly widened his eyes in shock.

"What do you mean you trained Mind's Eye just to play tennis? Isn't that a bit excessive?"

"So what?"

Prince of Tennis Cain replied with complete confidence.

"Compared to those ridiculous abilities, Mind's Eye is already very ordinary!"

"Uh, that's… actually true."

Demon Slayer Cain's expression became a little complicated.

Since he had traveled to the Prince of Tennis world, it was only natural that he would learn to play tennis.

In order to step onto the world stage, Prince of Tennis Cain had set up a strict training plan for himself since childhood and followed it every single day without fail.

After testing and confirming that he did not possess any special talent directly related to tennis, Prince of Tennis Cain signed up for Sanda and Kendo classes while also challenging various extreme sports.

Through repeated tempering and relentless training, Prince of Tennis Cain relied purely on perseverance and hard work to develop his own ability, Mind's Eye.

Unlike Fuji Shusuke's Mind's Eye, which was only suitable for tennis and could only be activated when the mind reached an extremely high level of focus,

Prince of Tennis Cain's Mind's Eye was not limited to tennis. It could be used in all aspects of life and even provided an early warning when danger approached.

Relying on Mind's Eye and the physical conditioning he had built since childhood, Prince of Tennis Cain successfully carved out a place for himself in the tennis world.

Then, during a dream, he arrived at the Mist Space and shared this ability with the combat-oriented Cain, Demon Slayer Cain.

"Eh? Another newcomer?"

Just as Demon Slayer Cain and Prince of Tennis Cain were communicating, DanMachi Cain, who had also received the summons, arrived at the Mist Space.

After tapping their shoulders and obtaining their memories, DanMachi Cain reacted exactly the same way Demon Slayer Cain had a few minutes earlier. He stared at Prince of Tennis Cain in stunned silence.

Seriously, brother.

It's just playing tennis. Was it really necessary to go that far?

T/N- I will be using minds eye term cause it's more suitable, tho the real term is Closed Eye Technique (kokoro no hitomi)
