Chapter 2 - mr. DNA

Carlos had On the island for a week reading the multiple manual on how the Machines work it was a lot of information he had to write it down on a piece of paper was honestly worked The main thing he was concerned about was getting the DNA from the fossils luckily he had a drill and an ground penetration radar so known as a GPR ment for locating fossils They were smart people like that would shoot a sonar into the ground So all he had to do was insert a USB into the pipe So it would take and all the data that the beacon received then all the end to do was use the drill The drill them out of the ground he was mainly looking for surface fossils they were rare but they still could happen.

After walking along the forestline with the beacons he sat down and activeded the Becons sending their sonar signals through the ground most of them found deep underground fossils but problem was he didn't have a strong enough drill to break deeper into ground more then 10 meters but it would do as he returned home he activated the beacons with The computer constantly absorbing the data before going through the data he went to get some milk and wheat Before crushing it up making this new kind of liquid before pouring it into an machine as fuel before returning to the master computer he did find fossils but at minimum 25 to 30 meters down.

One of the farther beacons literally halfway across the beacon found a fossil immediately he ran out their and dug an all in the sand before throwing a rope down that was attached to a nail then used the drill The fossil was directly a few meters down as he broke through the rock he found an head plate attached to a spinal cord using his ecopad it identified as an protoceratops head crest he pulled out the plastic wrapped it up and pulled himself out of the hole and carefully walked back home as he placed the head crest down on the table sprayed all of the dirt and sand off of it before placing it on East Nother table with a see-through bottom as scanner proceeded to scan the remains all taking actual DNA from the bones and marrow.

Put hot water with a bunch of other chemicals mixed in purifying the marrow turning it into raw non-utilized DNA before using a syringe and claw to pick up an egg and inject The DNA into the egg the Machine repeated this process another four more times into 4 other eggs and Carlos gently took each and every one of them placing them under a heat lamp bedded with lichen and moss for a more natural nest feel the ecological iPad that he was given gave him a complete estimate of the hatch time an total of 6 months until the eggs actually hatched.

Which was good he actually had a place to put them it was a backyard fence tall you wouldn't but it would do the job besides protoceratops weren't that big but still capable of defending themselves if they thought they could move on without being in an enclosure anymore that was on them his job was to create prehistoric life not micromanage it if they wanted to be big and bad then so be it they'll find out eventually this is a New World where the old rules don't apply they won't have to worry about that for long because soon enough this planet is going to be walking with monsters.

(I promise you guys will see actual dinosaurs in the next chapter)
