I was already finished when Alexander arrived, so I stood up and went back to the room. I was really tired, so I fell asleep
Immediately after getting into bed.
The next day was Saturday, so I stayed home.
day.
When I woke up, only the blanket showed that Alexander had been there the night before. I didn't bother wondering where he had gone because I knew he was probably with Lilian.
After I showered and had breakfast, I realized I didn't have any plans for the day. I thought about Aiden and decided to text him.
Alicia: Hi Aiden.
Aiden: Alicia, are you doing alright today?
Alicia: Yes, I am. Where are you right now?
Aiden: I have an interview with a TV show channel. I'm there right now.
Alicia: Ohh, you really are the big star, working even on weekends, huh?
Aiden: What can I say? You know I'm still a rising actor, so I need to work really hard to gain fame. What about you? What are you up to?
Alicia: Nothing much. I'm just at home since I don't have work today.
Aiden: Oh, that sounds boring. Why don't we grab something to eat later in the evening? Sounds good?
I thought for a while before replying. He was right—staying at home all day really was boring.
Alicia: Sure. There was this new place Sandra and I discovered. Should I invite her to tag along so we can go there?
Aiden: Sure. I should be done by 4:00. Is that okay?
Alicia: Yeah, just inform me when you're done.
Aiden: Okay then. Take care till then.
Alicia: Thanks. You too.
I closed my phone and placed it on the table in the study. I had originally come there to check on some things regarding our brand endorsement, but I couldn't concentrate.
Then I remembered that I hadn't informed Sandra yet, so I quickly picked up my phone. I contemplated whether to call or just text. After a moment, I decided to text her so that even if she was busy right now, she would see the message once she was done.
Alicia: Hey Sandra.
Almost immediately, I saw that she was typing.
Sandra: I'm fine. What are you up to?
Alicia: Actually, I met Aiden yesterday after the shoot, and we made plans this morning for the evening. Want to tag along?
Sandra: Ohh, Aiden? Yeah, I heard they were about to start shooting a new movie.
Alicia: Yeah, that's what he said too. So, wanna come? We decided to go to that new place you wanted to try out.
Sandra: Okay, I'm in. Who declines food?
I smiled before texting my reply.
Alicia: Okay. Sophie said she had to go out of the city today. I would have invited her.
Sandra: Yeah, too bad. Are you sure Aiden wouldn't mind? I mean, since he invited you, maybe he had something to attend to.
I had a feeling Sandra's mind was going somewhere else.
Alicia: Come on, of course he'd like the fact that you're coming. What are you even thinking about?
Sandra: Come on, she said in a teasing tone. I need to go now. Talk to you later.
Sandra and Aiden had worked together before, so they were acquaintances. Aiden was my childhood friend. We lived in the same neighborhood, and our houses were close to each other. His parents were very polite, and when my mom died, they did everything they could to help us.
Later, Aiden's family relocated because their business had prospered even more. Since then, we hadn't been in contact until about a year ago when he became a movie star and we reconnected. Even then, we hadn't been in contact much until yesterday.Aiden was now a big movie star,so the both of us were always busy, so we never had the chance meet again and catch up.
