The curtain of fire completely blocked the path.
The mutated pheasants dared not advance.
"No, there are only two of you," Paisley Paige refused.
Though she and Nina Jacobs had known each other for less than a day, Nina had already saved them twice.
'How could I abandon them now?'
There were at least thirty of these mutated pheasants.
"Yeah, we can help too."
"You go find the others first. We can handle this."
Besides, Nina wanted an excuse to head toward Vespera Peak anyway.
And since Paisley Paige had already planned routes for every contingency, navigation wouldn't be an issue.
