Nina Jacobs and Wayne Warner were led into the abandoned hotel.
"Thatcher… can I be the one to take her?"
She heard Holden Shaw ask Jonathan Thatcher for permission in a low voice nearby.
"You? You finally getting some ideas, kid?"
Jonathan Thatcher glanced at Nina Jacobs.
A look of regret flashed through his eyes.
This girl was indeed good-looking; he had wanted to keep her for himself as a reward for the night.
"Considering how diligent you've been lately, I'll let you have her tonight. But when you're done playing, I'm taking her back."
Jonathan Thatcher chuckled deviously.
"Thanks, Thatcher."
A flicker of barely perceptible disgust flashed in Holden Shaw's eyes before he turned and walked toward Nina Jacobs.
"I'll take you to your room."
By then, Holden Shaw's expression had returned to normal.
Nina Jacobs looked at him but ultimately said nothing, simply following him.
She had heard their exchange crystal clear.
