The woman quickly apologized to Nina Jacobs, but still asked tentatively:
"He's just a country kid, doesn't know any better. Please don't mind him.
A Space Superpower User stole our grain before,
so now he has to ask everyone he meets…
But… you aren't actually a Space Superpower User, are you?"
A small flame appeared in Nina Jacobs's hand:
"I'm not, and neither is my friend."
"That's good, that's good."
The couple exchanged a glance.
"We'll just stay in the house across from here."
Nina Jacobs said, pointing at the open-gated house across the way.
'This village is strange.'
'There isn't even a single zombie.'
'And this family… there's something off about them, something I can't quite put my finger on.'
'I'd better be careful.'
"Across the way?
Oh, dear. It's filthy over there, not a suitable place to stay."
The old man from before coughed twice and said.
"It's fine."
Nina Jacobs had already seen it when she arrived; no one was living in the house across the way.
