She had just come up with a plan to deal with Kevin Holden and his men, but she hadn't expected Wayne Abbott to step in and help.

Nina Jacobs followed Wayne Abbott to a deserted window.
Wayne Abbott's companions stood at a distance, as if afraid of scaring her.
"It was nothing. The medicine you sold me before worked wonders.
My wife hasn't coughed in days."
Wayne Abbott's expression softened considerably.
"Did you need something from me? If so, spit it out."
Seemingly surprised by how direct Nina was, Wayne Abbott froze for a moment before quickly speaking:
"I wanted to ask how many supplies you have left."
"Don't get the wrong idea. We just heard some rumors recently,
and we want to buy a large amount of your supplies in one go. We'll pay whatever it costs in Crystal Cores."
"Rumors?"
"Yeah. We heard the shelter might stop providing free meals,
and supplies will definitely be harder to get then."
