Dawn Donovan stared in disbelief at the shattered door panel.
And at the person walking in.
"Are you okay, Nina?"
The fury on Ian Chandler's face vanished the moment he saw Nina Jacobs.
"I'm fine. What could happen to me?"
Nina Jacobs also saw Daniel Hale, Leo Hale, and Chelsea Walsh outside the door.
'It looks like after I was taken, the Hales went to find Ian.'
"I'm glad you're okay. If anyone had hurt you, I wouldn't have let them get away with it. You're my lifesaver."
Ian Chandler deliberately stressed the word "lifesaver."
Dawn Donovan's expression turned ugly.
She hadn't expected a routine interrogation to attract such a motley crew.
Now, she had no idea how to clean up this mess.
"Ian, look…"
Before Dawn Donovan could finish, the door panel that Leo Hale had just propped up fell over again.
"Quite a party in here, huh?"
Myra Lawson walked in with a smile.
"…Lawson? You're here too."
Dawn Donovan could no longer muster a smile.
