A large number of zombies seemed to be gathered inside the subway entrance, and the two of them had drawn them all out.
They had clearly run for seven or eight blocks, but several hundred zombies were still in hot pursuit.
At the critical moment, Nina Jacobs summoned the system's safe house and pulled Wayne Warner inside.
Wayne Warner didn't seem to find any of it strange.
Outside the safe house, zombies ran past one after another, but none of them noticed the two people inside.
