Nathan fought him off as the cop strangled him. He tried to reach the staff assistant. His eyes watered as they tried to pop out of their sockets.
He guggeled looking at the door. A nurse walked in but the cop did not let go. The nurse ran and grabbed him. She tried to fight him off Nathan but he flung her off.
She ran out and called for help.
Nathan passed out and the cop carried him on his shoulders and walked out of the room. The nurse returned with others but they were gone.
As the cop climbed down the stairs he heard beeping all over the hospital. He entered a random hospital room and jumped through the window.
He was three storeys up but landed without a scratch.
Mark and Felix arrived at the hospital minutes later. Everyone was frantic.
"What is going on? Why is everyone on edge?" Felix mumbled as he walked to the counter.
"We are here for a patient, Nathan Payne," Felix said to a nurse behind the counter
"Nathan Payne? He was just taken by a cop minutes ago," the nurse informed them. Felix and Mark quickly ran out.
Felix called to inform Clayton as Mark brought the car around.
Nathan gained consciousness he was restrained in the back seat of the cop's car.
"Where are you taking me?" Nathan asked the officer but he ignored him. The cop parked at the side of the road and got out of the car.
Nathan watched him take a phone from his pocket and make a phone call. Nathan placed his ears on the glass to hear the conversation.
Unfortunately, his voice was muffled. The cop later got into the car and started driving. At an intersection, they stopped at a red light.
The light turned green and immediately they moved. A car crashed into them from the right. The whiplash disoriented Nathan. His forehead was bleeding and his head was banging.
He looked out the window and saw Mark and Felix walking towards them. Pointing their guns at the police they yelled at him to get out.
Nathan watched as the cop got out and got on his knees.
"Drop your gun and interlace your fingers behind your head," Felix screamed, he slowly walked towards him.
Meanwhile, Mark kept his distance still pointing at his gun at the cop. Felix cuffed him and handed him to Mark.
He placed him in the car. Felix helped Nathan out of the car and put him in theirs. He then joined the cop in the back seat.
They drove to the Papermill Police Department. The same police station where Nathan was arrested. They handed the cop who was one of theirs to them.
Detective Marlowe interrogated him for hours but he did not say a word. When the detective got out to take a break, Nathan sneaked in.
Mark and Felix watched from the opposite side of the glass.
"Why did you try to kidnap me? What do you want, money?" Nathan asked and the cop smiled.
"What do you want with me?" Nathan screamed at him.
"We don't want you. Give us Corvus and we will leave you alone," the cop said and Nathan frowned and looked at the glass.
"Aaarh, you don't know," the cop said then turned towards the glass.
"Give us Corvus or next time we won't be taking hostages. You have three days," the cop said and a cloud of smoke rushed out of his mouth into the vents.
The cop fell on the table and Nathan checked his pulse. He then looked at the glass and shook his head.
Nathan walked out and the other joined him outside.
"The demon possession, now this?" Mark said.
"I hate demons and want nothing to do with them," Felix complained.
"I think after today I can say I hate them too," Nathan said.
"Yes and demons do not bother people who do not summon them," Felix added.
"What are you saying?" Nathan asked.
"I am saying someone summoned a demon," Felix mentioned.
