Chapter 6 - New Story

The Black Iron Heavy Sword landed precisely on the point where the empress's envoy leader's neck and shoulder met. Unlike a regular sword that cuts, this weapon struck like a pile driver, destroying a building's foundation.

A resounding "CRACK" echoed through the cave, and the sound of his collarbone shattering into pieces was the result of the excessive weight being distributed to a single point. The envoy leader didn't even have time to scream; his body was thrown against the cave wall, creating cracks in the stone structure due to the perfectly channeled momentum.

"One unit down,"

Yoe Choin said, spinning his sword with the utmost efficiency.

The other two envoys froze. In their eyes, Moen Kang Yo, who should have been dying, was now moving with terrifying precision. In Choin's mind's eye, the lines of the Blueprint on the remaining two men flashed red, indicating panic that was sapping the stability of their structure.

"Do you want to run?"

Choin's voice was cold.

"Sorry, but this project doesn't allow for mid-contract cancellations. It's time for cleanup."

In mere seconds, the cave was silent again. The three elite warriors sent to retrieve Moen Kang Yo's frail body were now mere human remains, no longer of any structural value in the eyes of the yoe choin.

3 Days Later...

Hundreds of miles from the cave where Moen Kang Yo resided, in the center of the Demon Faction's power, the atmosphere in the Moonlight Pavilion was a stark contrast. The scent of incense danced in the air, but the atmosphere inside was colder than polar ice.

The Demon Empress, Moen Mu-Jin's first wife, sat gracefully sipping tea from a silver cup. Her long, beautiful nails appeared serene.

However, everything changed when a shadowy guard appeared and knelt tremblingly before her.

"Reporting... Empress,"

the guard's voice was barely audible.

"Speak. Has the illegitimate child's body been thrown into the ravine?"

the Empress asked in a sweet yet venomous tone.

"Regarding that... the three elite envoys you sent... they all failed to assassinate Young Master Moen Kang Yo."

the guard reported, bowing deeply.

"And Young Master Moen Kang Yo... he seems to be a different person..."

"TING!"

The silver cup in the Empress's hand cracked. Hot tea spilled onto her expensive gold silk robes. Her once-calm eyes now gleamed with unbridled anger and hidden fear.

"How is this possible?!"

she shouted, her voice now sharp like a knife scraping against metal.

"He's been drinking the Nine Regrets poison for years! His meridians should have exploded from Qi deviation!"

The Empress stood, her breathing rapid. As the mastermind behind Moen Kang Yo's ordeal, she knew full well that logically, no one could survive such a covert 'death sentence.'
