"Are you sure this Westly Fox guy is the right one? He's a scammer and a thief! If you want a guy, there's much better opt…"
"Watch your mouth." Alexander wrapped his hand around his subordinate's neck and squeezed. "What we do is much worse than any of those minor crimes he's committed in his life."
"Huck… sss…sorry, Boss." Lev gasped for air when the hand released him. "West…"
His boss's eyes narrowed.
"Err… I mean the Madam is an excellent choice, since it is you that made it."
Alexander knew his subordinate was just sucking up to him, but he was still pleased with the statement. "I know. He's perfect." The harsh frown he'd worn earlier was gone.
"It's kind of scary he can just flip a switch like that," Lev muttered under his breath.
Alexander pulled out his phone to watch the live CCTV feed from Wes's hospital room. He had gotten word moments ago that it seemed like Wes had woken up, and was currently on the way to greet him. He had barred the hospital staff from entering until his arrival. Call him selfish, but he wanted the first person Wes saw to be him.
His eyebrow raised as he watched the smaller man pull against the handcuff. It was a good thing he decided to lock him to the bed. It would be unfortunate if he ran off before Alexander had a chance to see him. Not that it mattered too much, he already found out where he lived, and had even taken the liberty of visiting the shabby place.
He was already planning on moving Wes in right away, but after seeing his living conditions, he was even more desperate to take him in. It wasn't even suitable for a rat to live in that wretched house.
"Hmm? What's he doing?" He watched as Wes picked up the IV rod and dragged it to the left side of the bed. It was hard to focus too much on his actions though, all the movement had caused Wes's hospital gown to loosen and reveal his pink tinted bottom. Alexander's cheeks flushed as he watched the gown unravel more and more.
"Is it okay for him to be moving around like that?" Lev peered over his boss's shoulder to watch the feed. "The Madam just woke up from a week long coma! He should be resting!"
"Looks fine to me." Alexander smirked, watching as Wes lifted the pole in the air. It was so cute, what did he think he was going to be able to do with that?
"WACK!"
"What?!" His eyes widened in horror as he watched Wes begin bashing the rod into the biohazards box. "Is he insane?! He's going to hurt himself!"
"We'll be there in 3 minutes, Young Master," Igor reassured from the driver's seat.
"Drive faster." Lev tapped on the divider. "Do you want me to tell one of the staff to intervene?" He pulled out his phone.
"No. I will be the first one he sees." Alexander's eyes narrowed.
"Wouldn't it be better to meet him more naturally?" He questioned. "He might be suspicious of you after handcuffing him to the bed like that."
"Obviously, I plan for us to meet in a more natural manner," The larger man rolled his eyes. "And you are going to help me, my dear subordinate." He handed him a chicken mascot suit to change into.
"Huh?!"
—
"Sir, is this really necessary?" Lev grumbled, holding the head of his ridiculous costume under his arm. His face reddened as he glanced back at the car and noticed Igor was taking pictures of him.
"Of course it is. Your boss came up with this plan himself!" Alexander scoffed, and put on a white doctor's coat. "As you said, Wes is a scam artist through and through, he's bound to be skeptical if I come in and confess to him. He needs to come to me out of his own volition. That's the only way for this to work."
Lev raised an eyebrow, but nodded his head in agreement. He had already tested his boss's patience today and didn't want to end up losing a finger.
"Besides," he wrapped a stethoscope around his neck, "the geneticists still need time to prepare the vaccine." Though he was worried about him, it was somewhat fortunate Wes had been in a coma for a week. If he hadn't been knocked out, the gathering of genetic material and bodily fluids definitely would've been more difficult given how feisty his chosen partner was. The bone marrow collection had appeared especially painful. Even in a coma Wes had whimpered and flinched away from the needle, causing Alexander to have to hold him in place for the procedure.
"CRASH."
He glanced at his phone. "Tsk." Putting on a green medical mask, he sprinted towards the hospital. Wes had just knocked the biohazard box free.
—
"Ha! Finally!" Wes wiped the sweat that had accumulated on his forehead with the front of his hospital gown. That box had really been stuck on there.
He used his trusty IV rod to slide the box over to him. Now he just had to break this thing open and get one of the syringes out. No biggie.
"Wack. Wack. Wack. Wack."
He banged the box on the floor, but the lid would not come free. "Man, why'd they have to lock it?" He groaned. All the moving around had really worn him out.
"Woosh!"
Shit. Wes paled as the room's door flew open. He shouldn't have made so much noise.
"Patient, please put the biohazard box down and get back in bed." The doctor, a tall blonde guy, entered hastily.
"Uhh…" He glanced at the doctor and then back and the red box. He had almost gotten the lid cracked open. All it would take was one more hit. "Hmm…" He looked at the floor.
"SMASH!"
Syringes and needles flew everywhere as the box busted open at last. "Hahahaha! Finally!" Wes grabbed one that landed close to him and began fiddling with the lock.
"I told you to get back in bed." The doctor spoke more coldly than before and started walking over to where Wes was kneeling.
"Clink."
"HA! Got it!" He quickly pulled his arm free from the cuff, and stood up. Now all that was left to do was to get past this doctor. A task that might actually be a little difficult, now that he was looking at him more closely. Not only was the doctor tall, but he was incredibly broad. Wes also suspected he boasted a nice figure under that snug lab coat.
"Stay there, you'll hurt yourself." The doctor continued walking towards him. "If you poke yourself we are going to have to run a lot more tests."
Wes certainly didn't want to poke himself with a dirty needle, but he didn't want to wait around and get arrested either. He glanced at the door. "Yeah, I'm gonna go, and if you try to stop me… I'm gonna stab you with this." He flashed the syringe he had used to pick the lock and gave the doctor a quick smile before bolting for the door.
"Tsk." The doctor easily caught him around the waist and lifted him into the air.
"He…hey! If you don't let me go I'm seriously gonna stab you!" He held the syringe up in the air threateningly. He was hoping he wouldn't actually have to stab this guy. Doing something like that to a medical professional seemed like poor taste.
"Do it and see what happens." The arm around his waist tightened.
"Eek!" His previous injuries caused the sudden pressure to hurt badly. Still, he kept the hand with the syringe raised.
"Drop it." The doctor squeezed him a bit tighter.
"Hnngh." Wes winced and dropped his weapon.
"Shink."
They both paled and looked down.
It had fallen needle first into the doctor's foot.
"Ahh! Sorry! Sorry!" He wiggled, trying to break free from the strong grasp, an effort that was futile.
"You," the Doctor pointed at a nurse that was lingering close by, watching the scene unfold. "Get someone to clean this up, and find another room for the patient in the meantime."
"Ri…ight away, Sir." She responded, nervously glancing at the doctor's foot.
—
Only after they made it to the new room and Wes was seated on the bed did the doctor remove the syringe from his shoe.
"You're lucky," he laughed as he walked over to discard it in this room's Sharps bin, "looks like it didn't break through the leather."
"Hahaha." Wes laughed awkwardly, not meeting the doctor's icy blue gaze.
"You know, if it really had broken through, I would've had to punish you." His large fingers curled around Wes's chin, and he forced him to meet his eyes.
"That's a little odd for a doctor to be saying." He blinked slowly, trying his best to keep from showing the fact that he was feeling intimidated.
"Hmm." His chin was released and the doctor looked away quickly. His cheeks had turned a deep shade of pink. "I need to verify some information, if that's alright with you, Mr. Fox."
"Huh?! Who is this 'Mr. Fox' guy?!" Wes shrieked. A bead of sweat dripped down his forehead. "My name is uhh…uhh…" He looked around at his surroundings. "Doorus Tableton."
"Pfft." The doctor covered his mouth.
"Huh? Something funny?" Wes poked him in his rather well developed chest.
"So, you are saying you aren't Westly Allen Fox? A 22 year-old living at 1122 Meadow Ridge Drive?"
"I have never heard of that person before in my life." Wes answered him with a completely straight face. "My name is Tableton Doorus, and I'm 28 and don't live there."
"HAHAHA!" The doctor burst out laughing. Was he not buying the fake name?
"I thought your name was Doorus Tableton, not Tableton Doorus."
"Uhh… No. I'm pretty sure I'd know my own name." He rolled his eyes.
"HAHAHAHA!" the doctor started laughing again.
"You know Tableton Doorus… I mean, I am a very important person, and I don't appreciate this unprofessional behavior from my doctor. What's your name? Who's your superior huh?!" In order to really sell the fake identity, Wes figured it would be a good idea to try to act like someone important. Afterall, he definitely looked like someone of status if he had a whole private room to himself, be it a mix up or not.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
"Quit it." Wes stuck his bottom lip out. This so-called doctor was ticking him off.
"HA… Haha… okay, I'm good." The doctor wheezed and wiped a tear from his eye. He wasn't sure what the guy found so funny. It wasn't like he had made any jokes.
"Stop wasting my time, Doctor." He poked the large chest again… and then it poked it one more time. It was very nice.
"Mr. Doorus, I don't think you are supposed to be touching your doctor like that." He leaned in closer, and his right hand clamped down on Wes's leg.
"Eek!" Wes shrieked and tried to back away, but the firm hand held him in place.
"That being said," He pulled down his mask slightly and whispered in the smaller man's ear, "I wouldn't want to get in trouble for turning down such an important customer of ours."
"Ngh." Wes shivered as he felt the doctor's hot breath on the back of his neck.
