Chapter 1
Ella stepped quietly into the garden.
The night sky stretched above her, beautiful and endless, while a cool breeze brushed softly against her face, playing with her long blonde hair.
But Ella wasn't looking at the sky.
She was looking at Henry.
His dark eyes were focused on the girl in his arms as he kissed her, completely unaware that Ella was standing a few steps away.
Frozen.
Speechless.
Tears slowly slid down her cheeks as the reality sank in.
Her golden-brown eyes widened in disbelief.
"I knew he was a playboy…" she whispered bitterly. "So why did I still fall in love with him?"
She turned and ran out of the garden, wiping her tears, but they refused to stop falling.
"This wasn't the plan…" she murmured to herself. "After everything I did just to get into this college… how did it end like this?"
Her voice dropped into a cold whisper.
"Henry Hordesen…"
Her hands clenched into fists.
"You'll regret this."
