Chapter 7 - Chapter 3: The Hero.

Everything Arthur knew about Terros and the Demon world came from the knowledge the Hero either knew or acquired through his journey.

According to the world's History by the time of the hero's birth, Terros had been at war with the demon race for over a century.

Gates started spawning around the world bearing demon beasts from another world that brought death and destruction across the planet. Human technology and weapons were found wanting before this calamity and mankind on Terros found themselves staring at their extinction and apocalypse.

However by the Will of Gaea, the great Ego that dwelt within the world, There was an influx of magical essence across the planet and Humans who responded to this mystical force Awakened to great supernatural abilities.

The Awakened stood at the fore front of humanity and fought against the Demons monsters, even taking the battle into the pocket worlds within the gates that they called Dungeons. Thus humanity was trapped in a war without end as Gates continuously spawned with no foreseeable solution to end them.

In the midst of this War for survival, A great Red gate spawned bringing the first legion of the Demon race to the world of Terros leading to the ultimate war between the conquering Demons and Mankind fighting for their world.

Standing outside the realm of Terros and looking upon the sinister bridge of dark energy, Arthur witnessed the power the world of demons had at their disposal. And he knew once the dark world collided with Terros, then it would be the end for the Hero's world.

But That was neither now or here. Here was the World of Terros. The world where Arthur's Idol and hero existed. Arthur wanted to know if he truly did exist. His existence would be the final proof that Ra's words were true. That everything Arthur had witnessed was only a current of Fate. That the hero was alive and well far from the doom that awaited him. And that Arthur might be able to avert that doom.

'I want to step into this world' He thought was clear as he directed it to Ra.

'No surprise there!' Ra replied. 'It is all you have ever wanted your whole life! However as i said your soul is not strong enough to cross into any world on your own. But I can augument it with my will. But i will only be able to do it Twice or thrice Before Your soul reaches it's limit. So after We check in on your precious hero, We must strengthen your soul!'

'No complaints here' Arthur replied, a sense of excitement and trepidation filling him. He would get to see The hero!

Arthur Felt a Force fill his very being. It started from his core where Ra dwelt and pushed beyond it, filling his astral body. This force pushed beyond his existence and formed A nimbus That engulfed him. Ra had empower him with the Force of his will, a power Arthur had no concept of. This Nimbus of Raw force was a kin to The heat a fire would give off. And it felt like Arthur's existence was set ablaze.

Ra's will then proceeded to guide him pushing him to the Vast nebula of Terros. The world loomed over his awareness until it was all there was. He stood before swirling currents of energy and essence dancing before the Veil into a world.

It was through these currents that he had swam and witnessed the Hero's journey for these were currents of Fate. The existence and casuality woven into a world. His form pushed through these currents. Coming before the Veil into Terros. A dense curtain of cosmic energy that contained an entire realm within.

The Flux of raw force about Arthur Pushed against the fabric of the Veil. Ra, hidden within Arthur's soul would be shrouded from The cosmic laws about the Veil that would repel his attempts to enter the world as a dweller of the Void.

Arthur felt something give as though his ability allowed him to find a hole within the net that was the Veil. A hole into the world.

His Astral form slipped into the world of Terros. Arthur had entered the Hero's world!

Arthur found himself floating, weightless in the infinite void of space, Surrounded by pinpricks of light from the thousands of stars scattered in this expanse.

His astral form stood between two great heavenly bodies.

To one side was A Sun, Fiery and Bright, the Central star of this world and to the other side of his awareness was a globe. A vast planet suspended in the void of space.

The light of the sun Gracing it and touching it's waters beyond the thin stratospheric veil through which the Blue and green of this world could be seen As Three moons orbited about it. The Core planet of This realm.

Arthur felt himself being drawn to this planet. It was not a physical pull. A mystical pull, one that drew all energies towards this planet. He let himself be pulled to it until He was upon it's clouds and they filled his awareness.

He descended into the clouds. The winds tore through the astral space where his body should have been, and though he had no skin to feel it, he sensed everything. the moisture in the air, the weight of the sky, the hum of ambient cosmic energy threaded through it all.

Lower he went. The sense of freedom and adventure overtaking him. The boy who had been bedridden and unable to move anywhere found freedom and the ability to move in death. It was exhilarating.

And so he drifted throughout the planet of Terros. Feeling alive for the first time in his entire existence.

He passed over the glittering waters of the planet. Across forests thick and green. Over Mountains that cut the horizon like teeth. Cities sprawled across valleys, plains and coasts, lights flickering in grids and clusters. He swept across the curve of the planet, day bleeding into night as he crossed into shadow.

The planet was teaming with life, human, beast and plant within the skies, across the continents and under the sea.

Yet woven into this world was a darkness Arthur knew all too well.

Gates lay scattered across the land. Swirling portals of blue, edges crackling with unstable power. Within lay pocket worlds brimming with Demonic creatures. Human warriors ventured into these gates to fight the monsters within and prevent the gates from breaking open and the monsters spilling into the world of men.

There were ruins around the world. Towns reduced to scorched stone and ash. Others once great cities now habitats to powerful dreadbeasts. Awakened humans were locked in battle with monsters that clawed and shrieked and killed. Fighting to protect those who couldn't protect themselves.

Yet They did not fight at every battlefield. Ordinary humans lay dead as hoards of dreadbeasts and Demons assaulted their towns and others lay in hiding praying the heroes got to them in time.

And at the edge of all that humanity still held lay the continent of darkness.

A bleeding wound on the world. The land there was wrong, stained black and red, crawling with demonic aura. Dread beasts prowled its wastelands, born from the Blight that soaked the soil.

And the Neferious Demon Elites Built their stronghold there from where they waged their war to destroy humanity.

Arthur drifted past it all, through ruin and war and night. Here was a world That needed to be saving.

And Arthur's form drifted until it found the one who would try to save it.

The hero!
