NEXT DAY:
Keifer's POV:
I woke up to the sunlight that filtered through the see through white curtains. My body was aching a bit, my knuckles still having cuts and my bruises turning into a dark blue and a dark purple. I couldn't really sleep well. I only got a few hours of sleep, since I was taking care of Kiegan's bruises and trying to distract them from the kidnapping and Kieren got a nightmare, so I had to take care of that too. Then I worked and secured the house more and tried hiring some men, since half of my trusted men betrayed me. So, I didn't have time to clean and cool my bruises and put antiseptic fluid on my knuckles. I checked the time on my phone and in that second did my alarm ring. Guess, I woke up before the alarm could even ring. I switched of the alarm and went to get myself ready. After getting myself ready, I went downstairs and didn't wake up Kieren and Kiegan like I usually do. I gave them a day off from school. They really need it right now. I made breakfast and put their breakfast on the table, so that they can eat. After making breakfast for them, I prepared my cereal and texted both of them that I am going to school. Even though they are younger, they worry about me like they are the ones raising me. I went to the garage, picked my Monday car and drove to school. I arrived a bit later than usual, but I was still on time. So, there was almost no one on the campus. I went to the classroom and that is when I found out that my shoulder still hurts, but I ignored the pain. The whole building was loud with Section E noise, but the noise stopped the minute I entered. I raised my left eyebrow and asked
Keifer: Why is everyone silent? Is the world ending??
Felix (blurted out): What in the world happened to you??
Drew: We leave you alone for the weekend and this is what you do to yourself??
Eman: Do you have a death wish?
Denzel: Well, judging from the bruises and cuts, he has a death wish!
Keifer: Calm down!!!
They shut their mouth instantly. Good to know that I can control the room even when I am injured!
Keifer: The monster is back. Half of my men betrayed me, but luckily, I had help
The class erupted into murmurs and I was about to walk to my seat, when Jane and Jay entered. Jane and Jay looked around confused
Jay: Why is everybody silent?? Am I in heaven??
The class gave her glares and exaggerated grimaces.
Jay: What?? It is a valid question!!! You are never quiet! What happened??
Eman: Look at your husband!!!!
She rolled her eyes, but still grabbed my arm and made me face her. She gasped and smacked my arm gently, but it still hurt, so I winced.
Jay: I leave you after a fight and this is what you do to yourself!! Didn't you treat yourself?!
I put my head down and mumbled
Keifer: I had to take care of my brothers
Jay's gaze softened and asked
Jay: And who takes care of you?!
Keifer: I do!
Jay: Well, clearly not!! Just sit down!!!
I didn't want to argue with her, so I sat down in my seat, which is still next to hers. She sat herself down on her seat and pulled out a box out of her backpack. In the box were bandages, hand sanitiser, antiseptic fluid, band aids, some pain killers and some cough medicine.
Jay: Does anybody have a clean cloth??
Josh gave her a cloth and nodded
Jay: Thanks!
She started putting the antiseptic on the cloth and in that moment, Yuri also entered the classroom. He was also bruised and cuts. Jane looked up like she always did, when someone entered the classroom.
Jane: Seriously??? Did you get into a fight as well??
Yuri rubbed the back of his neck and said
Yuri: You could say that
(A/N: Nobody knows Yuri is already part of the Hanamichi Clan except Keifer. They know that Yuri is the future heir)
Mayo: Why are the two best friends bruised???
Nobody answered his question and Jane dragged Yuri to his seat, which was next to Jane now. He really liked the idea of sitting next to his girlfriend. Jane started also treating Yuri's bruises, while the rest was teasing us as usual. I wonder why Jay isn't as bruised as me. She must have been careful. I have seen her fight before and she is more careful in fighting than me. She calculates their moves, before fighting, while I just fight and analyse their movements along the way. I got snapped out of my thoughts by Jay
Jay: Roll your sleeves up. I know, you have at least one bruise there!
I reluctantly rolled my sleeve up and there was a dark purple bruise spreading on my whole arm
Jay: MARK KIEFER WATSON!! What is wrong with you???!!!
She shouted my name so loud the whole class flinched, including me. What?? It was off guard! Nothing else! I am not scared of Jay... Ok, maybe just a bit scared of her.
Keifer: It isn't as bad as it looks
Jay: oh really???
She barely touched my arm and it immediately stung. I winced out of pain
Jay: See!! I barely even touched you!!! It is as bad as it looks
I just stayed quiet. I knew I couldn't win this fight and just let her put the antiseptic on my arm. I winced a couple of times, but when I just focused on her, I didn't feel any pain anymore. Everything seemed to blur into the background and I just saw her. I saw the way her eyebrows were knit together in concentration. I saw her eyes showing fear and frustration at the same time. She was really worried about me. After a while she was done with cleaning up my wounds and cuts. Yuri's wounds and cuts were already cleaned up, when mine were done and now Sir Alvin is here to teach us history.
