Chapter 48 - CHAPTER 47- THE SICK EXAM

Jane POV:

I woke up and got ready. Jay hasn't woken up yet, which is normal for her. So, I went in her room and woke her up gently. She woke up, but she didn't look well. She looked pale, I touched her forehead and it was BURNING!! Sh*t she has a fever!! she has to stay home!

Jane (concerned): Jay, you are burning! You are definitely staying home!

Jay (stubborn): No, we have an exam

Jane (trying to compromise): You can always write it later. Your health is more important!

Jay (weak but persistent): No, I will write that exam!

She sneezed and coughed.

Jane (trying to argue with her): You have fever, a blocked nose and a cough!

Jay (doesn't get the point): So?

Jane (insisting): So, you are staying home!

Jay (persistent): No way, I studied so hard!

I knew there was no point in arguing with her. She is so stubborn, like Kuya Percy and Aries! So, I thought to make a deal with her.

Jane (sighed): Ok, let's compromise. You are going to school to write the exam and then you go home directly!

Jay (finally agreed): Fine!

FINALLY!!! She got ready and I helped her, while the maid made food for us. I also made Jay ginger tea for her cough. I drove today, since she still wasn't well. When we entered inside, Section E fell quiet. They saw how pale Jay looked. Her eyes were half open. She was barely even walking. I signalled them to be quiet. They nodded in response. Then Kiefer came up to me.

Kiefer: Let me guess. She is sick, but she didn't want to stay at home, because she studied hard for the exam.

Jane: Exactly! I tried to convince her, but she didn't listen. Finally, I made a compromise and told her to stay for the exam and she will go home, she agreed to it. But I don't think she will be able to survive the exam

Kiefer nodded, gathered his things and sat next to her. He really knows her well. I really hope they marry each other someday. He is such a gentleman for her!!

Jay POV:

My head is pounding like there is a drum playing, my throat is scratching like cat claws on a chalk board and my nose is runny like a waterfall. Jane was right, I should have stayed at home. But I studied so hard for this exam and I don't like writing my exams later. The exams are often harder, because you got "more time to study". Kiefer sat next to me, which is odd, because he sits at the back not in the second row and that also in the middle.

Jay: Why are you sitting next to me?

Kiefer: I am here, if you need anything

Jay: Why isn't Section E teasing anyone?

Kiefer: Because they are nervous for the exam and because someone important isn't feeling well

I immediately knew he meant me. Before, I could say something, Sir Alvin was giving us the exam paper faced down, so that everyone could start at the same time. He told us to flip over the exam sheet and wished us good luck. After answering a few questions, my eyes felt heavy. I wanted to sleep, but I forced my eyes open and tried to focus on the exam. My eyes were about to close and I didn't know I dropped my pen. Kiefer picked it up and told me

Kiefer (gentle): Your pen fell. Princess, just go home

Jay (stubborn as ever): Nope

I took the pen and I didn't know when I fully closed my eyes and leaned on my arms on the desk.

Kiefer POV:

Why is my love so stubborn? She needs to stay home! What is she doing here? Her health is more important. Now she is asleep on her arms and her exam is blank. I already have finished my exam, but I forgot to write my name. I was about to, when in that moment Sir Alvin went out the class to take a phone call. I got an idea. Good thing the exam was a multiple choice. This is my chance! I switched my paper with hers, made her head lean on my shoulder and kissed her forehead. Sh*t her forehead is burning. I wrote my paper again and wrote my name quickly. I put her head back where her arms were on the desk, so that I could give Jay and my paper to Sir Alvin. I told Sir Alvin, that I needed to go to the restroom. He let me. I knew, if I told him, that she is sick, he would take her to the infirmary, but she doesn't like to be weak and she will definitely feel weak there. So, I went to the restroom to wet a few paper towels with cold water to put it on her forehead. I came back to the classroom and the exam time was finished. Sir Alvin already left. Jane was about to wake Jay up, but I stopped her. I told her that I would put paper towels on her forehead and take her to my house. She agreed, but didn't leave her side. Jane is a good sister for Jay. I insisted that all of them could leave and after a lot of protesting, they gave in. Before they went outside to hang out with each other, Jane gave me a Paracetamol tablet to give her. I nodded and then they left. Now it was only me and her. She was still sleeping, while frowning. I put her head on my shoulder. I cleared strands of her hair and put paper towels on her head to cool it down a bit. I also kissed her forehead to check if it was getting better and to comfort her. After a while she stirred and immediately asked

Jay: Where is my paper?

Kiefer: I gave it to Sir Alvin

Jay: What? I wasn't finished!

Kiefer: I finished it for you

Jay: WHAT??

Kiefer: I didn't want you to fail and get scolded by boss

She blushed. Suddenly a knock interrupted our moment. It was Aries

Aries: Jane told me you were sick. Why did you go to school?

Jay: I wanted to write the exam

Aries sighed: You could have written it later

Jay: You know how much I don't like writing it later

Aries put his fingers on his temples. Probably thinking about how stubborn his sister is.

Kiefer: Don't worry bro, I will take care of her. I will take her to my home. You can visit her there, if you want

Aries nodded and warned: If you do funny business, I will kill you!

Kiefer: I won't without her permission and she is sick. I won't do anything with her, when she isn't feeling well.

Aries seemed relieved and seemed to trust me. After a while of talking, he went to class. I told her

Kiefer: Take Paracetamol *giving the Paracetamol, Jane gave him*

She reluctantly swallowed the tablet with water, which she brought to school. She doesn't like taking medicine, but she must have been not feeling very well. I also gave her tissues, that I took from the restroom, to take out her snot, after that she seemed very tired, so I asked her

Kiefer: Do you want to go to my house now?

She nodded tiredly. I carried her in bridal style.

Jay: I can walk, you know.

Kiefer: I know you can, I just want to

That seemed to make her quiet and she smiled. I lifted her in my car and buckled her seatbelt.
