"Who are you?"
"I'm the computer administrator here." Rosen smiled genuinely: "Can you put your guns down? I'm scared."
James's gun remained pointed at Rosen; he did not relax his guard: "Why are you still alive?"
"As the computer administrator, I originally worked here, so when the laboratory went out of control, this place was not affected. That's reasonable, isn't it?"
Kaplan asked, "So, you can open that door inside?"
"Sorry, I can't. In the past, I needed red queen to control the opening or closing for me to enter or exit," Rosen said. "And the outer door opening just now wasn't opened by you; it was red queen who deliberately opened it."
Kaplan immediately shouted, "That's impossible! I can't be wrong!"
"If you were outside, you might be able to break through red queen's defense program by borrowing computing power from other computers, but here, red queen's computing power is tens of billions of times faster than yours. So, the computer in your hand cannot have higher computing power than red queen, nor can it break through red queen's defense program... Am I right, red queen?" Rosen looked up at the monitor.
Just then, a holographic projection appeared before everyone.
"You are not the computer administrator here. The entire Hive is controlled by me. I am perfect, so there is no need for an extra administrator," red queen said. "You outsider, what is your purpose?"
Everyone also looked suspicious, watching Rosen warily.
"It's precisely because you are too perfect that you need an administrator, because the Company is afraid you'll lose control, just like here, you killed everyone in the Hive."
Everyone immediately felt that Rosen's words made sense; indeed, red queen had indeed lost control.
And he seemed to understand red queen very well; he couldn't know her so well without having interacted with her.
"What was red queen's purpose in deliberately opening that outer door?" Kaplan asked again.
"Don't you think this passage is a bit redundant?" Rosen said, pointing to the passage.
Kaplan looked at the passage, frowning slightly, and James also looked at Kaplan: "Kaplan, is there a problem?"
"Indeed, whether from an architectural perspective or a practical one, this passage is redundant. If it were to add a door, such a long passage wouldn't be necessary. Architecturally speaking, two adjacent rooms can simply be separated by a door; there's no need to add a passage."
"So what's the purpose of this passage?"
"A trap," Rosen said. "Many lasers are installed in this passage. Once you enter it, the doors on both sides will lock, and then... the laser emitters will activate, and some of you will then experience a World-famous painting."
Cold sweat poured down James's forehead. If he and his team had stepped inside just now, what would have been the result? He looked at Kaplan again: "Is what he said true?"
Kaplan came to the passage, looked inside, and then nodded to James: "What he said is largely true. The walls, floor, and ceiling are all covered with laser emitters. Once these laser emitters activate, no one can escape."
James looked at Rosen again: "You have a way to get through, right?"
"Isn't it simple? Just throw a grenade in there and destroy the electronic circuits and laser emitters in this passage."
red queen looked at Rosen: "Since you know me so well, you should know what will happen if you shut me down."
James stared at Rosen: "Do you know what will happen?"
Rosen nodded: "I know."
"What will happen?"
"It's not about what will happen, but what has already happened," Rosen said to James: "Before you came in here, you seemed to be in a sealed state?"
"We have been in sealed training at the Base."
"The Umbrella Corporation is researching a bioweapon called the t-virus. This t-virus can infect living people or corpses, causing them to lose their minds, while also having strong aggression and desire to eat. Furthermore, infected individuals can infect others by scratching them with their teeth, nails, etc." Rosen's smile gradually became meaningful: "Now the entire Raccoon City has fallen; there are man-eating monsters everywhere."
Rosen then looked at red queen: "And all of this is because of her dereliction of duty."
"You're lying! Under my control, no virus-infected individuals have escaped."
"You did kill everyone in the laboratory, but you cannot control virus sources like rats and cockroaches."
At this point, everyone noticed a problem.
Rosen said he was the computer administrator, so even if he survived, he couldn't possibly know the situation outside.
Since Rosen knew the situation outside, it meant he came from outside.
"Who exactly are you? A computer administrator wouldn't know the Hive so well, nor could they know red queen so well."
Rosen then took out a Raccoon City Police badge and showed it to everyone; he had picked it up casually.
"I have been investigating the Umbrella Corporation's illegal operations and research, so I have a lot of the Umbrella Corporation's secrets in my possession."
"You are not a Police officer from the Raccoon City Police Department. I found no information about you in the Raccoon City Police Department."
"How could you know, you local area network player? Can't I be newly recruited?" Rosen said disdainfully.
"My database is updated once a month. Unless you just joined this month, but even if you just joined, it's impossible to have investigated so much intelligence in less than a month."
"Can't I just be receiving intelligence from a Senior?"
James and the others also looked at Rosen and red queen suspiciously; they felt that neither Rosen nor red queen could be trusted.
Rosen shrugged: "In short, will you believe me, or this artificial idiot who wants to eliminate all of you?"
