"Ugh, it's so painful…" I couldn't help but let out a painful groan as both of my shoulder blades were still injured after I got attacked by an unknown assailant.
Whenever my shoulder contracted, the sharp and aching pain would stop me from moving for a good while, making it impossible to do anything other than lying on the bed while scrolling social media.
I had been trapped in my—well, it was technically Miles and Claudia's house, but then again, I had successfully kicked Claudia out of his house, so it was technically mine now—for days.
I couldn't go out because I was scared of the assailant, so I made sure that Miles barred the window with steel railings, to make sure nobody would be able to sneak in like before.
