BOOM. BOOM.
The sounds of explosions echoed as enormous shockwaves spread in every direction, uprooting the surrounding trees and hurling them through the air as though they were weightless twigs. The earth cracked beneath the force of the collisions, and the open wilderness that had only minutes ago been part of a peaceful primitive landscape had transformed into a devastated battlefield, its surface littered with craters and scattered boulders.
All of this was the result of the battle between Sophia and the gigantic black bull, which had shown no intention of retreating from the very beginning. Instead, it became more ferocious with every exchange.
Whoosh.
Sophia swept over the bull's back in a swift circular motion, taking advantage of its reckless charge to execute her plan within a fraction of a second. Her body moved with perfect efficiency as the katana in her hand carved a deep line across the creature's back with every ounce of strength she could channel into that movement.
MOOOOOO!
The bull roared with both pain and fury. This wound was no longer superficial. Sophia's circular strike had added both angle and momentum to her blade, allowing it to pierce through a layer of the beast's thick hide, though it still failed to reach the depth she had intended.
At that very instant, her instincts screamed at her, warning her of the powerful attack that was about to come.
BOOOOOOM!
The bull swung its enormous, thick tail toward her with terrifying speed. The blow launched Sophia violently through the air before she crashed into the ground.
Urgh...
The sound escaped her lips together with the blood she coughed up as she struggled to stand. At the same time, a green glow spread around her as her Healing Chakra activated automatically in response to the severity of the damage she had suffered.
She did not wait for the healing process to finish.
The monster before her gave her no opportunity to rest or recover completely. It was already charging toward her once again with all its might. The earth trembled beneath its feet, while its crimson eyes remained locked onto her with unrestrained madness.
She immediately resumed her fighting stance, although the shock from the previous strike was still affecting her. Raising her katana before her, the cold expression on her face never changed.
BOOM. BOOOOOOM.
Another explosion thundered across the battlefield as their next collision sent fresh shockwaves expanding the ever-growing circle of destruction surrounding the fight.
At the same time, not far from the battlefield, a group of hidden figures appeared among the dense forest. Concealed beneath the cover of the trees, they watched the fierce battle unfolding before them, their expressions filled with unmistakable shock.
One of them spoke in a strange language that had developed independently within the Inner World over countless generations.
"It seems... she's human."
Even within that short sentence, both disbelief and confusion were obvious. A creature capable of clashing with the Bull of Wrath, injuring it, and surviving its attacks simply did not fit any definition of a human they knew.
Another voice, apparently belonging to a woman within the group, answered.
"Her strength is incredible. She actually managed to fight the Bull of Wrath head-on."
The others silently nodded as they continued watching the brutal battle before them, their eyes fixed upon every movement made by that mysterious human who had entered the Bull of Wrath's territory and begun this devastating confrontation against it.
