Chapter 166 - Chapter 166 : Two Paths of Development

As for the path of developing the massive inner world he had just created, Dan actually had two completely different approaches available to him. Each possessed its own advantages and disadvantages, which he had carefully studied before reaching a final decision regarding the method he would use to build this new world.

The first and relatively simpler path from a practical standpoint was to keep the inner world much more closely connected to the real external world. In this approach, the inner world would essentially remain an inseparable extension of reality, drawing all of its basic necessities from the outside world, including breathable air, natural space, and a complete environment. Under this scenario, Dan would simply enclose a large section of the vast Sacred Dragon Forest within the new inner world. It would not be entirely separated; rather, he would surround it with folded spatial layers while maintaining its environmental connection to the outside world.

This first method possessed several major advantages, particularly in terms of ease of implementation. He would not need to create an entire ecosystem from scratch. Instead, he could take advantage of the forest's already existing ecosystem, complete with its trees, soil, water, air, animals, and naturally balanced cycles. All he would need to do would be to transfer a large section of the forest into the inner world while preserving its connection to the external environment so it could continue receiving the natural resources it required automatically and continuously without any additional effort.

Furthermore, this approach would naturally guarantee environmental stability within the inner world because it would simply be an extension of an ecosystem that had already remained stable for thousands of years. There would be little risk of ecological collapse or environmental imbalance since almost everything would remain unchanged aside from the addition of a layer of spatial protection.

Then there was the second approach, one that was vastly more difficult and complex. Despite the immense challenges involved, it was ultimately the path Dan chose. Technically and practically, it was extraordinarily demanding and would require enormous effort and a tremendous amount of time to complete properly. His goal was to develop a vast, self-sufficient world completely independent from the outside world in terms of structure, resources, and ecological systems.

Naturally, this independence would not be absolute. The world would still reflect certain essential aspects of reality, such as sunlight, the moon and its cycles, and its relative connection to the planet and its orbital movement. Maintaining these relationships would preserve the natural cycle of day and night that living creatures required in order to thrive. Yet despite these links, the world would remain highly autonomous regarding its resources and environment, capable of developing independently and continuing to function even if completely cut off from the outside world for extended periods.

Of course, a project of this magnitude would require numerous precise conditions in order to succeed, along with many strict requirements that Dan would need to fulfill personally before he could truly begin building this independent world.

First and foremost, he would require unimaginable quantities of raw materials. He needed millions of tons of soil, enough water to fill entire lakes and rivers, rocks and minerals of countless varieties to shape mountains, hills, and terrain. He needed plants and trees of many different species to establish a healthy and diverse ecosystem. He would likely even require animals, birds, and insects to complete a balanced food chain and a functioning ecological network. Fortunately, he already possessed a carefully considered plan for acquiring and gathering all these resources.

The second and perhaps most important requirement was energy. To keep the world functioning and alive, he intended to flood it with enormous quantities of natural energy produced through his unique Fermentation Seal technique, which allowed him to transform harsh raw solar energy into refined natural energy. He planned to saturate every corner of the inner world with this power, enriching its soil, water, and atmosphere. Such an environment would dramatically accelerate the growth of plants and living organisms, making everything stronger, healthier, and more vibrant.

In fact, Dan even intended to develop a more advanced version of the Fermentation Seal in the future. His vision was a gigantic seal encompassing the entire inner world, functioning continuously and automatically to convert incoming solar energy into natural energy without requiring his direct intervention.

This immense seal would effectively serve as a living shell surrounding the world, transforming a portion of the sunlight and heat entering from outside into natural energy that would nourish every form of life within the inner realm.

The third and final element he desperately needed and one that could not be replaced was time.

Time was perhaps the most decisive factor in determining the success of this enormous undertaking. Real planets and natural worlds required astonishing amounts of time, often measured in millions or even billions of years, in order to develop into stable environments capable of supporting life safely and sustainably.

Geological processes alone demanded millions of years. The formation of an atmosphere required vast ages. Oceans, continents, mountains, and rivers all emerged through incredibly slow processes that unfolded over immense stretches of time. Dan certainly did not possess such time, nor could he afford to wait that long even if he was practically immortal.

Of course, he did not need to create a world as complex and geologically sophisticated as a naturally evolved planet shaped over billions of years. His only requirement was a world that remained spatially and temporally stable while being capable of supporting human, animal, and plant life. He did not need every intricate geological detail. He simply required a relatively simple but stable environment that could provide clean air, fresh water, fertile soil, sufficient light, suitable temperatures, and a natural day-and-night cycle. That alone would make the inner world comfortable and habitable for his family.

As for the critical issue of time itself, Dan was currently working on an entirely revolutionary new technique. If it succeeded in practical application, it would fundamentally transform both his personal path and the future development of his growing family.

The technique involved manipulating time itself.

Its purpose was to accelerate or slow the flow of time within isolated regions without affecting the rest of the external world. If he successfully mastered this extraordinarily complex technique, he would be able to create a special temporal zone inside the inner world where time flowed vastly faster than it did outside.

A single day in the outside world could become a thousand days within the inner realm. A single year outside could become thousands of years inside.

Such a capability would completely solve the problem of time.

He could simply allow the inner world to develop naturally for thousands, perhaps even millions, of years while only a brief period passed in reality. In this way, he could obtain a mature, fully stable world without personally waiting through those immense spans of time.

The benefits would not stop there. The technique would also become invaluable for training the members of his family. They could spend years honing their abilities within the inner world while only days or weeks passed outside, dramatically accelerating their growth and granting them an overwhelming advantage over any future enemies.

Naturally, such a technique was extraordinarily difficult, incredibly complex, and highly dangerous. Manipulating time was far more perilous than manipulating space, and even a minor mistake in calculation or execution could lead to catastrophic consequences.

Yet Dan remained confident. Given enough time, repeated experimentation, and a deep understanding of the laws governing space and time, he believed he could eventually master it.

And if he truly succeeded, he would achieve a breakthrough unlike any he had accomplished before, opening countless paths toward power, growth, and rapid advancement for both himself and his family .advantages that no one else could ever hope to match.
