The mothers, sons, and daughters all gathered in the family's great main hall. At the front sat the eldest sons: Sam, Sofia, Amy, Leon, Felix, Kai, Hoshi, Nanao, Sato, and the rest of the elder siblings who had surpassed twenty years of age. Behind them sat the younger children, with the toddlers at the very back. The family atmosphere was calm, yet everyone was alert; they knew that when their father called the entire family together outside of the scheduled times, it meant a significant announcement was coming.
Dan looked directly at Sam, his firstborn and the eldest of all his children. Sam was now fully thirty-seven years old. However, he appeared much younger, looking as if he were in his twenties because he had applied the first version of the Vitality Seal—the one specifically for bones—exactly two years ago when he reached the age of thirty-five. In fact, all of Dan's first children who had reached thirty-five had successfully applied the first Vitality Seal. Consequently, they all looked far younger than their actual years; their faces had regained their youth, and their bodies had become significantly more vibrant.
In a calm but clear voice that reached every corner of the hall, Dan spoke: "You must prepare yourself, Sam. You will be getting married in the coming days."
A total silence fell over the hall. Sam was taken aback by this sudden proclamation. He quickly turned toward his mother, Rin, who was sitting among the wives, and found her wearing a wide grin; it was obvious she had known in advance. He turned back to his father.
"Actually, Father..." Sam said, his voice laced with visible hesitation. "I am not currently ready for marriage. I focus all my time on training and development, and I think that—"
He didn't finish his sentence before Dan cut him off with sharp, final decisiveness: "The matter is settled. There is no discussion."
Dan looked him directly in the eye with a firm gaze. "Since you are the eldest son of this entire family, you bear the responsibility of ensuring the continuation of its lineage as well. This is your duty."
Sam silenced himself immediately. His mouth snapped shut. He could not bring himself to object to his father after such clear finality. Then his mother, Rin, spoke up from her place in a stern voice: "Listen here, you little rascal! You will get married and that is the end of it! I will never allow you to remain an old bachelor like this when you are thirty-seven!"
Sam gave her a look of clear, saddened pleading, but she did not soften toward him at all. Instead, her smile widened, enjoying his slight suffering.
Following this, some of his younger brothers began to mock him in low voices with muffled whispers and laughter. Leon, in particular, was smiling broadly, enjoying seeing his always-serious older brother in such an embarrassing position. He whispered to Felix beside him, loud enough to be heard on purpose: "It seems the big brother is finally going to lose his freedom."
Felix laughed quietly. Sam glared at them both, but he could do nothing. Dan turned to them with a small, amused smile. Then, in his usual cold voice, but with a hint of dry wit, he said: "In truth, there is no need to tease him so much."
He paused, then added: "Because all of you will be getting married along with him at the exact same time."
A sudden hush fell, followed by a wave of shock across the faces of the elder brothers. Leon's jaw dropped in total shock. Felix stopped laughing instantly. Even the calm Sato raised his eyebrows in astonishment.
Meanwhile, all twelve of Dan's wives let out a visible, collective sigh of relief. The marriage of their elder sons—especially the males who had passed thirty—had occupied their thoughts for years. It was the natural worry of any mother: When will my son marry? When will I see my grandchildren? Now, the matter was finally resolved. Wide smiles spread across the faces of all the wives.
Leon quickly looked toward Dan, opening his mouth to perhaps object or ask a question. But he met the same stern, resolute gaze from his father—a look that brooked no argument. He quickly bowed his head and closed his mouth.
"Yes, Father," he whispered in a low voice.
Then Sam, who had been embarrassed just a minute ago, began to mock Leon in return. He whispered loudly: "It seems the fierce brother is going to be tamed as well." He smiled with clear spiteful joy. Leon glared at him but could not respond; he was in the same boat now.
Dan noticed the atmosphere in the hall shift toward something lively, familial, and cheerful. The siblings were exchanging looks and whispers, the mothers were smiling happily, and the daughters were laughing quietly. It was a warm feeling—a rare one for him. Then, without another word, he vanished from his spot.
He returned to his private quarters to continue his training and various research. Internally, he felt a slight sense of relief. He had solved the problem of his elder sons' marriages, at least—something that had to be dealt with sooner or later. The elder sons could not be left as bachelors forever. The family had to expand, grow, and continue. This was a duty, a necessity.
As for his daughters—Sofia, Amy, Hoshi, and the rest of the elder girls—the plan would require much more time. Dan would not marry them off to just any random person from the outside world. Instead, he intended to create suitable and competent husbands for them, raising them under his direct supervision from a young age. Orphans or young children would be brought in, raised within the family, trained, and indoctrinated with the correct values and principles. When they grew up and became strong and suitable, they would marry his daughters.
This way, Dan could ensure that his daughters' husbands were completely trustworthy, loyal to the family, powerful, and fitting. However, he would not force or impose this upon them; unlike his sons, he would give his daughters the freedom of choice. Even if they wished to remain unmarried for their entire lives, it would be fine with him, as long as that was truly what they wanted.
For this very reason, he had also ordered Ayato in their last meeting to gather orphans and young children—both male and female—from the villages and cities. Children without families, without affiliations, and without a past to bind them. Dan intended to raise them within the family to solve this future problem. The young orphan girls would marry his sons, especially the younger ones. And the young orphan boys, after being raised and trained, would marry his daughters—if they proved suitable, of course.
It was a long-term future program. He would ensure it was perfectly tailored to the nature and values of his family. He would personally oversee their upbringing from the age of five or six. In terms of combat training, he would teach them Chakra, techniques, and fighting—everything they needed to become powerful. In terms of ideology and values, they would be instilled with the family's principles: absolute loyalty, total secrecy, constant caution, and the importance of the family above all else.
He would mold them from scratch, building them as he wished. When they grew up, they would be followers of his family, whether through service or marriage—it made no difference. Loyal. Strong. Trustworthy.
It was a slightly long and complex plan, but a necessary one. The family must grow, and not in a random fashion, but in a precise, planned manner under total control. This is how true empires are built—not by force alone, but through planning, patience, and long-term vision.
He sat in his lab and opened his private notebook. He returned to his primary research: the brain seal, new training techniques, spiritual energy, Fuinjutsu, and Genjutsu.
Life continues. The plans move forward. And the family grows. Slowly. Cautiously. But steadily.
