Cherreads

Chapter 22 - Chapter 21

Reinhardt watched the chaos with a hand over his face. The legendary "Family Reunion" went exactly as expected—which is to say, it was a complete disaster.

"I told you many times!" Artoria (Lancer) shouted, her face turning a bright, flustered red. "I am not your father! I am a maiden! I haven't even been in a relationship, let alone... that!"

Morgan sighed dramatically, crossing her arms. "For once, the pig is right. I am a virgin as well. So, Mordred, how about you just call us 'Older Sisters' and we forget the rest of that messy history?"

Mordred looked between the two of them, her stubborn Bael-like persistence kicking in. "But in my world, you still are my parents. Blood is blood."

Both Artoria and Morgan slumped their shoulders, defeated by the logic of a girl who literally shouldn't exist in their current timeline. Artoria immediately turned her glare toward Morgan. "This is your fault, bookworm! Your magecraft always creates these headaches!"

"My fault?!" Morgan hissed. "You were the one who couldn't keep your knights in line, you gluttonous pig!"

As the two sisters went back to their usual bickering, Scáthach stepped forward, looking entirely unbothered. She turned toward the new arrivals—Albedo, the Pleiades, Feixiao, Raiden Ei, and Kaguya—and gave a respectful nod.

"I am Scáthach, Mistress of the Land of Shadows," she said, her red eyes sharp. "I assume you are all here to serve Rein."

The introductions were swift and professional. Albedo maintained a polite but cold distance, her eyes mostly tracking Reinhardt's every move. Kaguya remained floating, observing the magical structure of the world, while the Pleiades began scouting the mansion's layout to start their maid duties.

However, the three "Warriors" of the group—Feixiao, Mordred, and Raiden Ei—didn't care much for talk. They looked at Scáthach, sensing the overwhelming "God-Slayer" aura radiating from her.

"Enough talk," Feixiao said, a hungry grin on her face as she rested her hand on her gunblade. "The air here is thick with power. I want to see what a 'Queen of Shadows' can do."

"I need to vent some of this frustration," Mordred added, drawing Clarent with a crackle of red lightning.

Raiden Ei stepped forward, the air smelling of ozone. "To pursue Eternity, one must test their blade against the strongest. Shall we?"

[Event: The Great Household Spar]

Location: Mansion Training Grounds (Reinforced).

Participants: Team Veteran (Scáthach, Artoria, Morgan) vs. Team Newcomers (Feixiao, Mordred, Raiden Ei).

Spectators: Reinhardt, Albedo, Kaguya, and the Pleiades.

Reinhardt looked at the girls, then at his newly reinforced training field. "Fine. But if you break the mansion, you're all helping the Pleiades with the cleaning for a month."

The training grounds became a chaotic vortex of mythological power as the six legendary warriors clashed all at once.

The Triple Duel

Mordred vs. Artoria: Red lightning collided with golden light as Mordred swung Clarent with reckless abandon, shouting about "family recognition," while Artoria parried with the blunt end of Rhongomyniad, still flustered and denying everything.

Raiden Ei vs. Scáthach: This was a battle of pure precision. The purple slashes of the Musou no Hitotachi sliced through space, only to be met by the God-slaying thrusts of the Gáe Bolg Alternative. The air screamed with the scent of ozone and ancient death.

Feixiao vs. Morgan: The Xianzhou General moved like a silver blur, her gunblades clashing against Morgan's intricate geometric mana shields. Every time Feixiao found an opening, a curse or a warp in space forced her back.

The shockwaves began to ripple outward, cracking the "God-tier" wards of the mansion. The sky turned a bruised purple, and the ground began to liquify into molten slag from the sheer friction of their auras.

The King's Intervention

Seeing his mansion—and the lunch Venelana was preparing—at risk, Reinhardt's eyes turned cold. He stepped onto the battlefield, and the air suddenly became heavy enough to crush steel.

"Enough."

He unleashed a focused burst of Conqueror's Haki. A wave of dark, crackling pressure washed over the six women, instantly snuffing out their fighting spirit. The sheer weight of his will forced their weapons down and made their knees buckle.

The silence that followed was deafening. Reinhardt stood in the center of the scorched earth, his cloak fluttering in the fading embers.

"You six," Reinhardt said, his voice low and dangerous. "You were seconds away from destroying the house. If the mansion falls, where exactly do you plan on sleeping? In the craters you just made?"

The shift was instantaneous. The fierce warriors who had just been trying to kill each other suddenly looked like schoolgirls caught breaking a window.

Artoria hid her spear behind her back, looking at the cracked ward stones.

Mordred kicked a rock, avoiding Rein's gaze.

Raiden Ei sheathed her blade, her stoic expression replaced by a deep, embarrassed blush.

Scáthach actually looked impressed by the pressure, but she still turned her head away to hide her reddening cheeks.

Morgan and Feixiao both found the scorched grass suddenly very interesting.

"We... we got carried away, Rein," Artoria mumbled, her face glowing red.

"My apologies," Raiden Ei whispered. "The contest of 'Eternity' was... perhaps too heated."
