Rosalind Lowell was led into a room, where an unfamiliar man appeared before her.
Ron Adler taunted, "As expected of Alaric Davenport's woman. You're the real deal—so beautiful you've even got my heart pounding. That last imposter was a far cry from you, and with a foul temper to boot."
"What imposter?" Rosalind frowned. 'Another innocent person has been dragged into this.'
"Some woman claimed she was Alaric Davenport's girl, so we nabbed her," Ron Adler said, rubbing his bulging stomach with a lecherous grin.
"Plenty of women claim to be Alaric's. Don't you people have any discernment at all? Why involve innocent people?" Rosalind demanded.
Ron Adler stroked his round chin, eyeing Rosalind. "What does it matter? We already nabbed her. It'd be a waste not to get some use out of her."
Rosalind's hands clenched into tight fists. "Where is she now?"
