Liang Yushuang found this explanation easy to accept. "That would explain why Xiao Liu's superpower causes a deficit of Life Force. But if the essence of healing is just shortening recovery time, doesn't that mean using a healing superpower is equivalent to shortening one's lifespan?"
Chi Wan shrugged. "You just have to weigh the pros and cons. If it's an injury that would be fatal without immediate treatment, then healing is obviously the better choice. But for minor, insignificant wounds, it's better to let them heal on their own."
After all, losing a few days or even dozens of days of your life over a small cut just wasn't worth it.
