First thing in the morning, Su Tao let out a sharp, high-pitched scream. It not only startled Old Su and the others in the woodshed but also jolted her grandfather Old Su, her parents, and her younger brother from their sleep. Even the deeply slumbering Shitou was woken up.
Shitou groggily opened his eyes to see Su Tao staring at him in terror. He was all too familiar with that look—and he loved it. He adored seeing women looking utterly horrified before him.
Instantly, Shitou grew excited. Shouting, "Wifey!", he lunged like a bear, tackling the stunned and terrified Su Tao onto the bed.
Only then did Su Tao snap back to her senses and try to escape, but she was no match for Shitou's grip. His large, heavy body pinned her down, nearly crushing the air from her lungs.
"Y-You... let go of me! You bastard, let me go! Help... help me!" Su Tao cried out, on the verge of a breakdown. She couldn't understand how Shitou, who was supposed to be in Su Qing's bed, had somehow ended up in her room, on her bed.
"Hehe, wifey, wifey." Shitou didn't care about any of that; his eyes were filled with nothing but excitement. Su Tao's cries only made him more thrilled. He lashed out and grabbed viciously at Su Tao's chest, not only tearing her already thin tank top but also leaving two bloody scratches across her skin.
"AH—!" The sudden cold on her chest, combined with the sharp pain, made Su Tao scream hysterically. She pounded on Shitou's arms with all her might. "Let me go! AHHHH, get off me! You're supposed to be in Su Qing's bed! Get off! Su Qing is your wife!"
"Hehe, wifey, wifey..." Shitou paid no attention to her words. All he knew was that his mother had brought him to a room yesterday and told him the person inside was his wife. Therefore, the woman in front of him now was his wife. Ignoring Su Tao's desperate cries, Shitou leaned in to kiss her face. The stench of his breath was so foul it made Su Tao want to retch.
"What are you two doing!" The first to burst into Su Tao's room were her parents, Su Shengli and Tian Aixiang. Su Shengli was the third and youngest son of the elder Sus.
Pushing the door open and seeing Shitou on top of Su Tao, Su Shengli felt a rush of blood to his head. 'If people find out my daughter was fooling around with a man in her room before she's married, how will she ever get married in the future? Forget my daughter, even my son will have trouble finding a match! What decent family would want to marry their daughter into a family like this?'
Su Shengli lunged forward, catching Shitou by surprise and yanking him off Su Tao. Su Shengli slammed a fist into Shitou's face. "I'll beat you to death, you son of a bitch!"
'This bastard is trying to ruin our family's reputation! Beating him to death wouldn't even be enough.' But Su Shengli was also deeply confused. 'Shitou was supposed to be in Su Qing's room. How on earth did he end up in my daughter's room?'
Meanwhile, Tian Aixiang strode forward and slapped Su Tao across the face. "You wretched girl! What have you done? Are you trying to ruin your brother's future?"

Old Su hadn't wanted Aunt Cuihua and the others to come, since you shouldn't air your dirty laundry in public. But she had handpicked these women herself. They loved to gossip about neighborhood affairs more than anything. She had specifically chosen them to act as human loudspeakers to spread the news about Su Qing. How could such gossipy people be easily turned away?
So, it was safe to say that Old Su had lifted a rock only to drop it on her own foot.
"Oh my, my... what's... what's this..." Seeing the state of Su Tao and Shitou in the room, Aunt Cuihua instantly knew what had happened.
But then, Aunt Cuihua suddenly recalled how Shi's mother and Old Su had acted earlier. The moment they entered the courtyard, they had been led straight to that girl Su Qing's room, claiming she had seduced a man. Shi's mother, however, was too preoccupied to notice Aunt Cuihua's gaze. Seeing Su Shengli grabbing and hitting Shitou, she was overcome with fury. She rushed forward and viciously scratched Su Shengli twice. "How dare you hit my son! Have you no shame, picking on a child?"
Shitou was no match for Su Shengli. When he saw his mother arrive, he burst into tears, whining pitifully, "Momma, Shitou hurts. Kiss it better."
This broke Shi's mother's heart. She wheeled around and slapped Su Shengli hard across the face. "You bastard! You're going to break my son!"
When Tian Aixiang saw her husband get hit by Shi's mother, she wasn't about to stand for it. She left Su Tao and charged at Shi's mother. Grabbing a handful of the woman's hair, she yanked her forward while clawing at her face with her other hand. "You dare hit my husband? I'll scratch you to death, you bitch! If you want to hit someone, go home and hit your own husband! Don't you dare act tough out here!"
"Ow! You dare hit me? See if I don't beat you to death!" Shi's mother's scalp screamed in pain from having her hair pulled, and her face had been scratched twice. She was no pushover. She immediately grabbed back, getting a fistful of Tian Aixiang's hair, and the two women started brawling right in front of everyone.
Both women were seasoned fighters. Before anyone could react, they had already left several bloody scratches on each other's faces. Strands of hair drifted down through the morning light that streamed in from the window.
Meanwhile, Su Shengli and Shitou were tangled up again. It turned out Shitou had grinningly tried to grab Su Tao again, only to be stopped by Su Shengli.
Su Tao had already been terrified by Shitou's actions and then slapped by her own mother. Now, seeing so many people barge into her room, she was furious and humiliated. With a hysterical cry, she quickly wrapped herself completely in her blanket.
"Stop it! All of you, stop it!" Old Su was absolutely livid. 'What is this mess? Shitou was supposed to be sent to that damn girl Su Qing's room, so how did he end up in Su Tao's room?'
But Old Su's shouts seemed to have no effect.
Seeing Su Shengli about to hit Shitou, Shi's mother tried to attack him. Tian Aixiang, unwilling to let that happen, held her back tightly. Shitou, meanwhile, was bawling from Su Shengli's beating. Mixed with Su Tao's hysterical sobs, the scene in Su Tao's room was utter chaos!
Finally, it took Aunt Cuihua and the others stepping in to help, along with a furious roar from the newly arrived Old Su, to pull everyone apart. Seeing the disheveled state of everyone involved, Aunt Cuihua and the other women exchanged sneaky glances, secretly waiting for the rest of the show to unfold. 'No doubt about it, the Old Su Family was putting on quite the show this morning.'
