Seth Sinclair's languid dark eyes watched her. "Full?"
"I'm full."
Lianne wanted to ask him, 'Aren't you full?' but before she could open her mouth, Seth Sinclair wrapped an arm around her waist, lifted her into the air, and gave her a deliberate little heft before setting her back on the ground.
The restaurant wasn't crowded at this hour, but there were still people walking by. Being out in the open like this made Lianne rather uncomfortable. "What are you doing?"
"Checking your weight to see if you're full," Seth said.
Lianne was both speechless and amused. Her eyes crinkled as a smile spread across her face. "Who on earth weighs someone with their bare hands?"
Seth ruffled her hair, his gaze dropping as he said lazily, "Didn't you say I'm not human?"
"That's not…" Lianne started to deny it, but then she suddenly remembered that Eleanor Hawthorne had only implied Lianne wasn't good enough for him. She was the one who had twisted it into saying he wasn't human.
