Seth Sinclair lowered the car window. His gaze fell on Lianne Lianne's small, reddened nose. He paused for a second, then raised an eyebrow.
"Lost some money? You look so pathetic."
'Lianne Lianne really wanted to tell him to get his eyes checked. She hadn't cried at all. What was he talking about, "pathetic"?'
Lianne Lianne had her hands stuffed in her coat pockets, her chin tucked into her scarf, revealing only half her face. Her clear, luminous eyes gazed at Seth Sinclair.
"Get in," he said.
The young master wanted her to treat him to a meal. Lianne Lianne was starving, so she didn't waste time arguing. She pulled open the passenger door and got in.
The car was wonderfully warm, and Lianne Lianne let out a soft sigh of relief.
Seth Sinclair's wrist rested lazily on the steering wheel. His jet-black cufflinks reflected a cool, expensive glint. He turned his head, staring at her without blinking.
