In the damp, gloomy prison, a group of government officials escorted three local thugs to the registration area.
"Ma San!" The Prison Chief raised an eyebrow at the sight of the newcomers.
"You were only out for a few days. Back already?"
"Brother Liuu," Ma San said with a cheeky grin, sidling closer. He seemed nothing like a criminal who'd just been brought in for murder.
"We just got into a little trouble. Brother Yeh told us three to come in here to reflect on our actions and repent."
"Chief Zhou." The Prison Chief saluted Zhou Ye.
"You've worked hard."
"Mm," Zhou Ye grunted, his face devoid of expression. His cold gaze swept over Ma San.
"The three of you took a life this time. It won't be easy to resolve. Just stay put in prison and behave yourselves."
"Yes," Ma San said with a wide grin.
"We just touched that guy's wife, and he wanted to fight us to the death. Didn't even know his own limits."
