「The next morning.」
On the ski slope, Lin Chu was no longer alone.
After seeing his skiing photos on his social media feed last night, the Sister Mao had immediately asked to go skiing together this morning, and Lin Chu had agreed.
After a couple of runs, he could see her skiing skill was quite a bit better than his. She was faster, and her technique was clearly more polished.
'That's... understandable, though. Given where she's from, she probably grew up with winter sports.'
This could be considered a sort of unofficial date.
As they raced down the long slope side-by-side, their shouts and laughter merging in the crisp air, Lin Chu was suddenly struck by a heroic feeling, as if they were facing the wind and frost together.
'Maybe I really should give a "Sister Mao" a try?'
'Time to broaden my horizons, after all.'
Besides, he did feel a stir of excitement in his heart.
'This is a brand-new experience, maxing out my sense of novelty and accomplishment right from the start.'
