A Word on This Volume
Starting from Chapter 261, a new arc begins.
We're moving from a fixed setting—Peng City and its surroundings—to a "road trip route," heading in the direction of a "road-trip novel"...
I have to admit, writing this way is a risk.
I've read all the "god-tier wealthy" novels on Qidian, and while some have done this, none have tried it at the 800,000-word mark.
I'm really something else, so reckless.
But after outlining the plot again, I decided to break out of my comfort zone and write something new.
My goal is—
—a complete story.
Or, to put it another way:
—a perfect life.
And then, to put it down on paper, bit by bit.
...
The first 800,000 words of this book have two major flaws.
First:
Lin Chu didn't follow the "scumbag route" to the very end.
Around the 500,000-word mark, my thinking started to waver.
