Jiang Qingli froze, her hand faltering on the flying vehicle's door.
She paused for a few seconds, then slowly slipped inside.
The moment the door closed, Baili Jing reached out, scooped her up, and placed her on his lap.
His long, strong arms wrapped around her waist. The young man skillfully buried his face in the crook of her neck, his nose gently brushing against the base of her ear.
It tickled. Jiang Qingli couldn't help but laugh, reaching out to stroke his soft hair.
"I missed you so much." Baili Jing's lips curved as he kissed her cheek. "Did my baby miss me?"
Finding his spoiled act rather cute, Jiang Qingli deliberately teased, "Nope. I was focused on my studies, unlike some people who just daydream all the time."
"Then I must not be trying hard enough." Baili Jing straightened up to meet her gaze.
His deep, pleasant voice spoke self-reproaching words, but it was laced with a clear, rising smile. "I'll have to learn from my baby..."
