Damian Xavier glanced at Aria Sterling and spoke.
Aria Sterling nodded, having no objection.
"Damian, where are you going? Let me go with you," Mya Walsh said, standing up as well.
"I'm heading out for work. I can't take you with me. I'll call you when I'm done."
Damian Xavier left the office.
Only Aria Sterling and Mya Walsh remained in the office.
The atmosphere instantly turned awkward.
Seeing the way Mya Walsh was glaring at her, Aria Sterling let out a derisive laugh. "What's the matter, Miss Shaw? Do you hate me that much?"
Mya Walsh stared back, her expression dark. "I think you're the one who should be hateful. After all, I'm not the one who was abandoned. I wonder who it is that, despite being divorced, still clings to her ex-husband and refuses to let go."
She had expected these words to anger Aria Sterling, but not only was Aria not angry, she still had a smile on her face.
