This Dragon Vein wasn't the old man of the Qinling Mountain Range, nor the Spiritual Dragon of the Forbidden City, nor even the gentle and lovely Wenshu Fairy of Jinling City. It had taken the form of a long spear.
No one knew if someone had forged it into a long spear, or if this was its natural form. The fragmented scroll didn't say. It provided very little information, but it did reveal a name.
This spear was incredibly famous. It was called the "Lance of Longinus"—the legendary Holy Spear that had pierced Jesus.
According to the Bible, when Jesus was nailed to the cross, a centurion pierced his side with a spear. That centurion was named Longinus. When Jesus's blood dripped into Longinus's eyes, he was instantly converted. He then forsook his former identity, became a Cultivator, and gained the ability to perform miracles. He was later recognized as a saint and called "Saint Longinus."
