Jiang Sifan fumbled for a response, unsure what to say.
"About Wen Wan... I've heard a lot from Silu," Jiang Yixia continued in a gentle tone. "She said Wen Wan always stays with you when you work overtime late into the night. That she's always there to support you whenever you run into trouble. And that she's a big reason your studio is where it is today."
Jiang Sifan had to agree with her. "Yes, she really has been a huge help," he responded.
"Well, there you have it. A girl is being so good to you, and you don't feel anything at all?" Jiang Yixia asked, stifling a laugh.
Her words left Jiang Sifan feeling flustered.
He thought of the way Wen Wan looked at him. He thought of all the times she'd stayed with him, working late into the night. He thought of what she'd said: "Whatever you decide, I'll support you."
'Was it because she liked him?'
'Or was it just the concern of a friend?'
He didn't know.
