Old Luo showed Jiang Sifan and Wen Wan to their seats in the living room, then turned and gave a few instructions.
A few moments later, several staff members in matching uniforms walked in carrying trays laden with exquisite pastries and fruit.
There were pastries shaped like little animals, beautifully cut fruit, and a few small plates of unidentifiable snacks.
Jiang Sifan stared at the pastries, momentarily stunned.
The pastries were so exquisite they looked like works of art; he couldn't bring himself to take a bite.
Wen Wan was also a bit stiff. She sat on the sofa with her hands on her knees and her back ramrod straight, like a schoolgirl in class.
Old Luo noticed Wen Wan's tension and asked with a smile, "Miss Wen, what would you like to drink? We have coffee, tea, juice, and a variety of other beverages."
Wen Wan quickly shook her head and said quietly, "Please don't go to any trouble. I'll just have water."
