A flicker of light crossed Pei Ze's eyes. This was somewhat unexpected.
The gaunt Wizard across from him, however, paled instantly.
Back on the third floor, he had witnessed Pei Ze's power firsthand. He was well aware that his chances of winning against him were incredibly slim.
That said, he had fought hard to reach the fourth floor. He couldn't bring himself to just admit defeat.
As his thoughts raced, the gaunt Wizard gritted his teeth. He decided to risk it all and launched a preemptive strike against Pei Ze.
A brilliant light flared as a Summoning Array suddenly materialized on the ground in the center of the arena. From within it burst a massive monster. Its body was covered in variegated, tiger-like stripes, but it had the head of a skull. It roared as it lunged toward Pei Ze.
'A Bone-faced Spotted Beast, is it?'
Pei Ze instantly recognized the creature's origin. It was an Otherworldly Creature at the Third Level of Liquefaction.
