As Zorat moved with the grandknight in the direction of the saintess's fancy fort, he began to think of just how fortunate this entire scenario was.
Even as he was making preparations for Ariana, he was also thinking about ways to get an in with the saintess. Because he was aware she was always distant from everybody else….
And coming up with some lame reason would only serve to worsen the already shaky foundation upon which their hopefully long-term and resourceful relationship would be constructed
It was already clear to Zorat that the saintess wasn't entirely ordinary.
There were lots of questions surrounding her existence.
She wasn't averse to Zorat; she also wasn't on a favorable stance, even after Zorat had used his charm on her on the very first day they arrived in this world.
At first, it seemed to have worked, and Zorat could draw from that that her willpower was not that strong, only average.
