Adela Armstrong was used to throwing her weight around in the entertainment industry.
She had won Best Actress at a young age, so everyone in the industry had to show her some respect.
This was the first time her agent had ever scolded her like this.
For a moment, Adela opened her mouth, about to say something, but then she heard her agent say, "That's all I have to say. You'd better watch yourself."
With that, the agent abruptly hung up.
She stared at the black screen of her phone, her expression grim. She raised her hand, ready to smash it.
But just as she looked up, she saw a small child peering around the doorway, watching her curiously.
"What are you looking at!"
The sight of the child's exaggerated stage makeup turned her stomach. Her voice, sharp and piercing, startled the little one in the doorway.
The child, seemingly not expecting Adela Armstrong to be so fierce, quickly ran off and found Chloe Sinclair.
