'What a twisted mess of logic.' If Warren Grant dared to push her too far, she would use Meredith Rowan as leverage and see if this so-called "man of deep feeling" was willing to risk it all for his true love.

Doing so would be a bit out of character. She had just stamped Meredith Rowan with the "good person" seal of approval. If she exposed her in public now, it would probably tip off her enemies.
In fact, Warren Grant was exploiting this very point. He remembered Meredith saying that Shirley Thorne treated her very well and had never looked down on her for being a mistress. Otherwise, Meredith wouldn't have willingly given up the inheritance.
