Grey didn't even know what to say. It wasn't often he was rendered speechless, but there really wasn't a good explanation for what he was seeing now.
For one, he didn't really understand what relation the Mechanical Jaw had with Great Udon's Race. The similarities between the spirit and the annoying bastard he wanted to introduce to a bullet were too overlapping.
Second, wasn't a spirit supposed to already be dead? Why did it look like this one was in the process of actively rotting? It didn't make sense at all.
If it was just an illusion, that would be fine. But the stench was literally hitting him like a slap across the face.
Now that Grey thought about it, though, if the Spirit was already, well… a Spirit, then how would he have fought it in the first place? Didn't that mean that it had to have been alive from the very beginning?
