MIA POV
The message comes in three parts.
That is how their system works now Rosa does not send everything at once because everything at once is a risk, it is a thing that can be intercepted and read whole and used against both of them. She sends pieces. Small, separate, timed apart. The first piece looks like nothing. The second piece looks like nothing. The third piece is the key that makes the first two mean something.
Mia built the system. Rosa understood it in one explanation because Rosa has always been faster than people give her credit for, which is Rosa's greatest advantage and the reason she is still safe outside these walls doing things Mia cannot do from inside them.
The first piece arrives Tuesday through Elena. A folded note the size of a thumbnail. Two words in Rosa's compressed handwriting H.V. old.
She holds it. She files it. She waits.
The second piece comes Wednesday.
Same channel. Same thumbnail. Four words this time two companies. same roof.
