"Stop those wall-crawling vermin!"

Suddenly, a human guard's roar erupted from above.

The lizardfolk were exposed.

At the same time, the war lizardman chief let out a piercing screech.

The climbing lizardfolk raised their heads almost in unison, their maws filled with fine, sharp teeth gaping open. Streams of dark green, viscous liquid shot out like water jets.

Sizzle—!

The corrosive liquid landed on the stone platform, eating through the rock at a visible speed. The archers felt the ground beneath their feet tremble and become unstable, and their aim wavered.

The lizardfolk no longer concealed themselves. They charged forward at maximum speed, attempting to assassinate the archers, warlock shamans, and other ranged units.

However, their efforts were thwarted.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!

One barbarian guard after another scrambled up the cliff wall like agile apes, moving as if on flat ground. They charged toward the lizardfolk, and when the short-range combat began, their battleaxes and greatswords were unstoppable. The lizardfolk were swiftly slain and cleared away.

Berserk Strike!

Flames seemed to ignite in the barbarian's eyes as his movements suddenly accelerated.

The war lizardman chief's head flew into the air, decapitated by an axe. But the monster was tenacious; even in death, it did not lie still. Its sharp tail pierced and blinded the elite berserker's right eye.

Silently, as the barbarian boss roared, a shadow emerged from behind him.

Doug's dagger slashed across the berserker's throat, and blood sprayed out like a fountain.

Hah, hah, hah... The barbarian's eyes widened. He swung his axe backward, but it struck only empty air. The insidious kobold assassin had already vanished.

"Smash it down!"

The ogre boss, Baroque, roared hoarsely.

He and the other strongest ogres charged side by side to the massive gate, raising their heavy, hard fine steel weapons—etched with alchemy enhancement rune—and struck with all their might.

BOOM—!!!

A dull, heart-stopping crash echoed through the pass.

The massive impact sent the entire gate shuddering violently, sending dust and stone crumbling from the top.

The heavy gate buckled inward. The door bolts groaned under the unbearable strain. Even though it was forged from hardened metal and reinforced with the warlock shaman's magic, it couldn't withstand the ogres' onslaught.

With each ferocious blow from the ogres, more stone fragments fell, and wide cracks spiderwebbed across the gate's surface.

"Hold the line! Hold the gate!"

The roars of human warriors echoed from behind the gate, mingled with the creaking of wood pushed to its absolute limit.

The archers atop the cliff were momentarily distracted by the lizardfolk's venomous assault, and the rain of arrows thinned for a brief instant.

The hyena-man boss seized this fleeting opportunity, a bloodthirsty snarl ripping from his throat. "Wolf cubs! With me!"

No longer hugging the wall, he became a gray streak of lightning, leading the hyena-men through the sparse arrow fire toward the narrow, relatively safe dead zone beneath the gate.

They would use their claws and fangs to tear at the spears thrusting from behind the gate's seams, buying time for the ogres.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Crack!

With a sharp snap, a thick wooden bolt shattered completely.

The gate swung open just enough for an ogre to squeeze through sideways.

"Roar—!" The ogre boss let out a triumphant cry. His massive hand gripped the edge of the gate, his granite-like muscles bulging as he prepared to tear the obstacle apart.

But the moment the gate burst open...

A searing, savage aura—a foul blend of sweat, metal, and blood—hit them so hard it made even the ogre's heart skip a beat.

Baroque had just squeezed half his body through the gap when a surging shadow suddenly engulfed his vision!

These were no human soldiers.

They were orcs—the elite berserker of the Ironblood Tribe!

They looked like demons crawling out of the lava of hell, each standing over two meters tall. Their knotted muscles were covered in scars and smeared with dark red war paint. Rough, heavy plate armor protected their vital points, while their exposed arms and calves rippled like gnarled tree roots.

They wielded massive double-bladed axes nearly as tall as a human, their edges jagged and chipped. They swung heavy flails and great hammers studded with vicious spikes.

The orcs at the front had eyes as red as blood, their muscles twitching like living creatures. Inhuman roars rumbled in their throats.

—This was the reaction of simultaneously activating both Rage and Frenzy.

"KILL!!"

The orc war cry erupted from behind the gate like a thunderclap, nearly shattering the bloody air.

Baroque was greeted by a warhammer whistling through the air with a sharp scream!

The warhammer slammed squarely into his thick chest with a dull thud, like a drum being struck. Baroque's massive frame staggered violently. The skin on his chest split open, revealing the tough, fibrous muscle beneath. Shards of iron embedded in his flesh rattled.

The excruciating pain sent the ogre into a blind rage.

He roared, his massive fist descending with the force of a thousand tons upon the orc berserker who had attacked him.

CRASH!

The fist missed, smashing heavily into the nearby rock wall and sending shards of stone flying.

With astonishing agility, the orc berserker had sidestepped the blow. His left-handed battleaxe buried itself deep in Baroque's thick arm, the blade wedging against the hard bone beneath the tough flesh.

Baroque seized the orc's helmet with his other hand, lifting him like a ragdoll before slamming him violently into the ground. He then raised a massive leg and stomped down with savage force.

CRACK!

The sickening sound of bone splintering echoed.

The orc's skull shattered like a rotten watermelon, spraying red and white gore all over Baroque.

But even more Berserkers swarmed forward like sharks smelling blood! Their heavy weapons rained down on the ogre in a storm, each blow landing with a heart-stopping thud.

Baroque's massive frame had become the perfect target.

He roared, swinging his wolf-toothed club to send two Orcs who failed to dodge flying into the rock wall. But in an instant, more weapons descended upon him.

"Hold the line!"

The other ogres finally squeezed through, their colossal bodies temporarily plugging the breach.

They swung their weapons, each strike unleashing a storm of blood and gore. An orc berserker was struck in the waist by a stone club and sent flying like a torn sack, crashing into several of his comrades as internal organs sprayed from his mouth.

But the orcs' counterattack was equally fierce. An orc wielding a massive flail swung the spiked iron ball, smashing it into the side of an ogre's knee. A sickening crack echoed through the air, and the ogre's mountain-like body collapsed to one knee in agony.

Another orc berserker seized the opportunity, leaping high into the air. His twin-bladed axe descended with all his might, cleaving into the ogre's nape.

The axe blade shattered the thick neck bone, and the massive head soared into the air with a spray of scalding blood. The headless corpse crashed to the ground.

The narrow space behind the gate instantly transformed into a meat grinder.

The ogres' roars, the orcs' war cries, the sound of bones shattering, the thud of weapons biting into flesh, and the screams of the dying blended into a brutal symphony.

Thick blood flowed freely across the rough ground, mixing with dirt and mangled organs, turning the floor into a viscous, slippery mess.

Outside the floodgates, Rak and the other hyena-men, along with a few centaurs, attempted to rush into the breach to reinforce their allies. But they were stopped by the kobold chief's roaring command: "You fools! Look up!"

Rak looked up. With the floodgates smashed open, the human archers, now free from the venom's interference, were nocking their arrows once more. Even worse, he saw several figures clad in heavy furs, their faces painted with war paint, appearing on the cliff's edge.

—The shamans of the Dawn Tribe.

One of the old shamans raised a staff inlaid with a mammoth tusk and an unknown crystal, chanting an obscure spell. The crystal at the staff's tip suddenly flared with a blinding white light!

"Scatter!"

The hyena-man Wanghun screamed hoarsely.

Boom! A massive bolt of white lightning tore through the air, descending from the heavens with a deafening thunderclap.

The hyena-man's fear was misplaced. The target wasn't the hyena-men on the ground, but the ogres.

The lightning struck an ogre raising its warhammer with pinpoint accuracy. The blinding white light instantly engulfed it. Before it could even let out a scream, its body turned charred and carbonized, trembling violently before an orc berserker's follow-up attack finished it off.

And just as the other monsters tried to rush to its aid—

The Dawn Tribe barbarians leaped down like cannonballs, charging into the wave of hyena-men and kobolds.
