Chapter 238 - Training Deborah

Translator: AnubisTL

As the night deepened, the red-iron dragon's tumultuous movements filled the gravity-defying arena with thunderous roars.

While Garos focused intently on his training, the red-silver dragon's gaze swept inch by inch over his rippling, bulging, steel-forged physique, every muscle line etched like molten metal. Her scales tingled with an itchy, numbing sensation, and her tail unconsciously tensed.

"So hot..."

The red-silver dragon felt inexplicably flushed, her gaze clinging to Garos like glue.

"I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die!"

The fairy dragon Vera, her neck twisted at an unnatural angle, fluttered into view, blocking Deborah's line of sight and interrupting her wandering thoughts.

"I think I'm dying! Save me!" Vera wailed.

Deborah seized Vera, and before the fairy dragon could react, she swiftly snapped Vera's twisted neck back into place. With a dismissive wave of her claw, Deborah said, "Don't block my view. I'm watching how Garos trains."

Vera touched her head and neck, her expression still shaken.

"Garos's head really won't snap off, will it?" Vera murmured, watching the red-iron dragon train with wide, sweeping motions that were both powerful and resilient.

Time gradually slipped by.

The fairy dragon and red-silver dragon didn't disturb Garos, quietly observing his training.

When Garos temporarily paused, the red-silver dragon Deborah approached with graceful strides, her voice curious and expectant. "Garos, your training looks fascinating. Could you teach me?"

"You want to learn?" Garos exhaled a scorching breath and cracked his neck.

"I'd like to try. But judging by Vera's earlier attempt, it seems easy to strain your neck. I think I need your guidance."

Under triple gravity, Garos's neck exercises were beyond the capabilities of ordinary dragons. However, with the physique of a hybrid metallic dragon, Deborah should be able to manage with some practice.

"Alright, I'll teach you," Garos nodded, gesturing for the red-silver dragon to stand before him.

"Flip over and press your head against the ground. At first, you can keep your back on the ground. Then, try using only your neck muscles to lift your body."

"Okay," the red-silver dragon replied, beginning to attempt the maneuver.

Under the gentle caress of the night, Garos watched as the red-silver dragon gracefully flipped over in place, her slender neck, covered in shimmering scales, arcing in a fluid curve.

Her movements were light and possessed an innate sense of rhythm, a stark contrast to Garos's earlier, heavy, steel-tempered motions.

Now, mimicking Garos, she tried to press the cool, scaled back of her head against the metallic-sheened ground.

Thud.

The sound was far softer than the one Garos had made.

Most of Deborah's body remained pressed against the ground, only her head and neck straining to find that crucial point of support.

She attempted to lift her body off the ground using only her neck muscles, just as Garos had demonstrated.

The red-silver dragon's delicate scales trembled slightly under the hypergravity field, and the graceful muscles along her neck tensed visibly, revealing the immense effort she was exerting.

Yet after several attempts, she couldn't maintain her lift.

The crushing weight felt like invisible chains binding her firmly to the ground.

Garos watched Deborah's subtle struggles with unwavering focus, noticing the imperfections in her technique.

Immediately afterward, the red-iron dragon took a silent step forward, its massive, scale-covered forelimb rising.

The giant claw, like a siege hammer, radiated scorching heat—the lingering warmth from its recent exertion. With gentle yet undeniable force, it settled upon the most supple and smooth scales at the juncture of the silver dragon's neck and shoulder.

Buzz! Deborah's body stiffened abruptly.

The searing heat from Garos's palm pierced through her scales, an astonishing contrast to the icy, metallic chill of his claw tips.

That overwhelming, absolute sense of dominance.

Though the touch seemed light, it felt as if an entire furnace had been pressed against the most vulnerable, sensitive part of her neck.

The dragon claw seemed capable of crushing her slender throat with the slightest squeeze, suffocating her.

With her weak point so exposed, the red-silver dragon instinctively recoiled, desperate to escape.

"Don't move."

Garos's deep voice exploded in her ear, carrying the dragon race's characteristic resonance—a rumbling vibration that seemed to roll through his chest like muffled thunder, cutting through the oppressive air of the supergravity field.

"Relax. Feel the power in your muscles. Your strength is scattered."

His massive claw pressed down slightly, exerting an irresistible guidance that stifled any urge to resist. The red-silver dragon silently submitted.

Deborah felt the searing energy begin to flow.

It moved downward and backward, steadily applying pressure along the muscles of her slender neck.

The hardened edge of the red-iron dragon claw, like the heaviest training whip, traced across her tense muscles with absolute control, as if combing and shaping them.

As the claw moved, the red-silver dragon felt an electric-like numbness coursing through her body, her usually rigid scales softening slightly.

"Here."

Garos's claw tip paused at the base of her neck, where relatively thick dragonbone plates covered the area, but the underlying muscles were crucial.

"Try to concentrate your power here. Focus your spirit on this point. Imagine your neck as a steel cable trying to break through the earth. Gather all your strength into this single point and push upward!" he instructed.

"Hah..."

Deborah gasped sharply, her silver vertical pupils contracting with intense focus and exertion.

She could feel Garos's massive claw pressing against her neck.

The searing, heavy, and rough sensation was so vivid it overwhelmed even the aching pain of the extreme gravity. He was like a silent volcano, branding his power and will directly onto her body.

Finally, under Garos's oppressive yet precise guidance, Deborah focused all her strength.

The muscles in her neck bulged violently, the scales covering them seeming to tighten instantly.

"Lift!" Garos growled, his massive claw on her neck pulling upward and backward in one smooth motion.

Vroom—!

With a deafening roar that shook the ground, the red-silver dragon's colossal, elegant body finally rose from the ground for the first time, her neck muscles straining against three times the normal gravity.

Her neck had cleared the ground.

"Excellent," Garos said slowly.

His dark-scaled claw didn't immediately withdraw. Instead, he pressed lightly on the trembling muscles of her neck, as if confirming her effort, offering approval. The lingering heat and rough texture of his scales burned clearly into Deborah's senses.
